Thanks for doing this again @Cogswel_Cogs.

Thank you!

My goal this year is 30. It is down from last years goal & last years total. But my reading time will be cut down this year so...30 it is.

And my first book of 2019 is Leverage in Death by JD Robb. I am finally caught up on this series so I am going to have to move on to other books. So I will be looking to this thread for ideas.

Put me down for 83. That's pushing it but I'll give it a try. And the first two are...

1. Serafina and the Twisted Staff by Robert Beatty
Young Adult, fantasy based at Biltmore in Asheville, NC in 1899. Enjoyed

2. The Rooster Bar by John Grisham
Law students pulling one over on the system. Enjoyed

I'm in. Last year I set a modest goal of 10. I'm gonna bump it up to another modest 15 :) But I am going to throw in a few extra challenges for my self.

Read a book I own but haven't read yet. ( Hunchback of Notre Dame--we'll see about this one:))
Read a book published the year I was born. (The Black Cauldron or Gentle Ben)
Read a classic romance. (Might be tough, I've read a lot already)
Read 1st book by a famous author.( I'm looking at you Neil Gaiman)
Read a non-fiction
Read a book made into a movie. (Psycho, if I can find it)
Read a novelization from a movie. (Alien)
Re-read a favorite from childhood/youth.(Eight Cousins)

I have a few others but they are the basics: mysteries, sci-fi, biography etc.

My dd did say to read a book by an author I don't like and/or on a subject I don't like. This would be tough because If I'm not interested I don't think I could finish

I'm in. I am trying to pick a number as I already have 5 books read since the New Year started. I think I will aim for 60 this year.

To get started I found a new author on my Kindle Unlimited - Scott Pratt. I read book 1 in the series the last week of December so will not count that.

1 In Good Faith by Scott Pratt (Book 2 in the Joe Dillard series)

2 Injustice for All by Scott Pratt (Book 3 in the Joe Dillard series)

3 Reasonable Fear by Scott Pratt (Book 4 in the Joe Dillard series)

4 Conflict of Interest by Scott Pratt (Book 5 in the Joe Dillard series)

5 Blood Money by Scott Pratt (Book 6 in the Joe Dillard series)

They all follow a lawyer, Joe Dillard, in Tennessee. I am reading one a night so should be done the series in a couple of days.

I’ve watched these threads for years and I’m taking the plunge....I’m in! I’m going to have a modest goal of 12. I finished Voyager in the Outlander series this week but read half in 2018. Not sure if I should count it. These books are long and reading time is short.....so modest goal it is! Thank you for this thread!

I don’t want to commit to the challenge because I’m really busy with school, but I am still reading in my spare time. Do you guys mind if I share what I’ve read? I’ve gotten so many good recommendations from these threads, I’d like to pay it forward.

Please do share. I think from the prior challenge that we have read some of the same books.

What a great idea!!

I'm going to join in at 50 books. I'm in a book club so I can guarantee at least 11 books if I haven't already read them.

I like your book ideas scrhsa, I think that I'm going to look up one that was written the year I was born.

Book 1 - Wrapped in Rain by Charles Martin, genre Inspirational. I don't know where I picked this book up but I enjoyed reading it.
