I think sometimes there may be to many going on at the same time.
Nancy noticed a big drop in attendance the past couple of exchanges, as opposed to just a few years ago, when there weren't as many going on at once.

I do agree with you! There many going on at the same time, and you guys know how I love the exchanges and my family too, but I can't afford all of them :confused3 and now i cannot longer be just me b/c my family liked them too.

Last year was different the gap between them was ok, but now there many :confused3

We loved the postcards last year and i was looking forward to it again.

Yup Roxy, I said the same thing to hubbby earlier... when there wasn't exchanges starting up every couple of weeks we had something to look forward to and time to save up, if that was the case. But now, it's like a daily thing... a new exchange always starting up, then before you get your head around that one, there is another and so it goes on.

For me, I have had to stop participating due to finances... I just cannot justify the International parcel rates plus the cost of the items for the exchange, when we need that money for day to day living.. to buy the necessiities.. so for me to participate I would be taking money from our daily living expenses just to have a bit of fun.

As much as I loved taking part, when everything you send goes International it does add up and now that circumstances have changed.. I've had to put a stop to participating.:sad1:

Buy:thumbsup2 to all those who can take part in regular exchanges.

I do understand you, we do have to stop sometimes for the same reason. And for you and the international postage I don't blame you. :thumbsup2

Would you happen to be referrning to me at all?

I can't afford to participate in any more exchanges.. not when everything I send is Intenational post, plus my own financial situation has changed quite a bit in recent times... as for posting on the boards...I'm home at the moment which is why I am running the postcards. It had to be timed for when I knew I could be here to keep up with it.

Nope not to you. Like Heidi had mentioned, just in general. Not pointing fingers at anyone. Exchanges are open to everyone and if you want to participate you can, if you don't want to send international that is fine-we all know about the price difference in shipping, and everyone has their own situations, so I would never accuss such a thing to anyone.

AND don't cost much... a few postcards, a couple of envlopes and a couple of stamps.. all for no more than how much?? A couple of dollars?

So, what are we waiting for?? Want to get some postcards from somewhere you've never been?? Then sign up before it's too late::yes::

I've just figured out how come the times of my posts are half an hour behind the real time here.... it's summer over there and you guys must be on summer time.. so even tho the settings on my computer are correct, it's your clocks that are different...had my baffled there for a couple of days:confused3 :)

Ok, well it's goodnight from me.... look forward to some new signups in the morning:thumbsup2

Actually summer doesn't start until June 21st.

OK! :rotfl: Today was not sooo hot, it was overcast most of the day, but the last 4 or so days, it was hooooottt! We went to the water park Friday and Saturday and I didn't wanted to get out of the pool. :sunny:

You can keep your hot weather Roxy... we've had ours... now it's cold... but at least with cold you can rug up... when it's hot, it's awfully hard to cool down.
