Annual Passholder Sale

Anyone hit the World of Disney Annual Passholders/DVC sale this morning? What did you get? Any pictures?

My DM and I hit the sale this morning. Got in line at like 5:15 and we weren't in the first 1000. But then we felt better at 6:30 when the line wrapped around another row in the DTD parking lot. The sales were pretty good! Select beach towels were $4, ear hats (carousel of princesses, tinkerbell and muppets) $5-6. Some of the Bags were 60% off, so my DM got one for $15. It was really nice too! we grabbed a second one for my aunt. Some hoodies and clothing were 50% off. I got myself and my sister one for $25 a piece. And they were the nicer ones too. They had the Pink women's ones with mickey on them and that come with the drawstring bag as well. We missed getting any games though and the only toys that were on sale were a Tiana barbie for $8.50, a Tinkerbell toddler doll 50% off and some very oddly colored Mickey plushes. There were some Phineas and Ferb ones as well but the niece and nephew aren't quite into that.
Overall I really enjoyed it! And had I been a more aggressive and organized shopper I probably would have gotten a lot more deals. But I got what I wanted! Plus at the last minute we got two beach towels cause we saw them on the counter behind the registers and asked for them.
Another thing that happened is that people will go through and stuff their bags with the sale items and then sort out what they want later and then leave what they don't want in corners of the store. That's how we found the purse for my aunt. But we made sure to ask the people next to it if it was their stuff. They told us that the lady hadn't wanted it. More for us!
I'm not really sure what was going on with the vinylmations. We avoided that room like the plague. It was so crowded! I do know that on the paper it said they were 75% off. and people were leaving with about ten cases in their arms wheelchairs or whatever else they had brought.
So we had a great morning! But next time I will plan on being there around 4:30. Just so I can get the extra 75% off coupon they gave to the first 1000 people. I didn't get any pictures though sorry...

Oh man, I can't believe I totally missed out on this!

I had no idea at all that they were going to have a sale. My trip to DL just coincided with this event. The funny thing is that I was still thinking about getting an annual passport and low and behold, the day after, I decided to go ahead and get a passport LOL!


Is this sale a one a year thing or do they hold these sales multiple times throughout the year? I remember asking someone at the door at the World of Disney Store on the tail end of the sale when they would have a sale like this again.

She said that November 5 would be the next time but when I looked at the events calendar, November coincides with a "Special Merchandise Benefit Sale: see artofdisneyparks.com for more details" and I have a feeling that it won't have the same magnitude of awesomeness that was the "Sizziling Summer Sale."

Anyone have any details on this? I will TOTALLY be planning for the Nov 5 event if it's similar to the recent one!
