If you don't like people talking about an event they are excited about, you shouldnt also expect them to help you out. You want people to do the work for you, but then don't want them to discuss it. A nice, simple, great compromise! Maybe increase the font size as well, make it easier to spot.

Disney should just announce when they are doing this .. or just make it a lottery. Every Passholder gets a timeslot to sign up for the event. If you are #1 on the list .. so be it, if you are last, oh well. Probably better than stalking the internet 24x7 waiting for this thing to mysteriously become active.

I mean this is essentially like the DL "previews" they've had the past month (that were limited to resort guests only instead of passholders). Those people knew when the reservations were opening up.

Again .. I just wonder what this availability will be. How many days will the preview be? How many passholders per day will they allow? How many TOTAL Platinum and up passholders exist ... (thus ..what percentage of total passholders COULD go to this event?)

At this point, I would even just appreciate them saying when the previews will be in more detail. Whether we can go or not depends entirely on how early or late in August they run them because of prior commitments. I would love to know if I'm stalking for nothing.

I was just saying this! Like even just a date range would be nice because I only have two days where I could make this work other than that I wouldn't be able to go and could stop stressing over trying to get a slot!

Or get people to get a room reservation stat for August? My trip is during the rumored date of this preview beginning & its been way to easy to change up dining reservations & FP. So, I think bookings are soft for that week.

I would love to know the dates too! I'm within the 11th rumor but not the 16th. I could extend my trip but then it would come down to picking between one preview timeslot and coming back down for SWGE opening weekend.

I never win lotteries either. Honestly, I can see that generating a LOT of complaints. This way, the supposedly send out the email to everyone and everyone has a chance at it. With the lottery they are the ones that decide who does and doesn't get in. With open admission missing it the blame can fall a little more to us if we didn't see the email right away. Now the fact that not everyone gets the emails (even those of us in the US), changes things a bit. But a lottery system I see being a disaster.

The end of my August trip is on the 11th, meaning I am leaving after our morning at MK. However, I would be able to extend the trip a day with no problems, 2 days would be cutting it close because the 14th is move-in day! Next opportunity for me would be the 17th. Opening Day isn’t an option, but I could probably do that weekend. Let’s just pray the 11th is the rumored starting day!(but also, nobody pick that date so I have a chance of getting in

I couldn't do opening day because it would mean 2 extra days off work, but thanks to labor day I can do opening weekend. I mean I wish I could just take the whole month of August off, but I don't think that would go over well with my boss or co-workers!

Yeah, I wish they would at least tell us exactly when this is taking place, if not when the reservation portal opens.

For me if it’s staring after the 19th, it’s all moot for me as I’m there from 8/15-18.

I can really only go on the 16th and 17th so thats what I'm hoping for. I would think there would need to be a decent time span for the previews but I could be wrong!
