Did Disney drop the passholder previews for Pandora with warning last time?
Nope, unfortunately.

Ugh...Nope, unfortunately.
Wouldn’t it be funny if they removed one of the pass holder extras and added the preview sign up just to screw with us? The extras would remain at 31 then.....
I thought that too so I refresh about every minute then scroll down to scan them all every 5th refresh. Hope my employer isn't tracking my internet useI totally thought that, too...
If this goes on until 60 days prior to expiration, you can renew at the Platinum level...but that would be like 3 weeks from now.Just called Passholder Services to ask about upgrading to Platinum Pass for a shot at a preview invite. Unfortunately, since the "Anniversary" of my Silver Pass happens to be September 7th, they explained this would mean that I'd have to pay the $460 difference between the cost of the Silver Pass and the Platinum Pass as the cost of my upgrade, for only 2.5 months of benefits.
I asked if they could just let me pay $899 for a year of Platinum Pass access and change my "Anniversary Date" to today, and they said they were not allowed to do it.

I would be able to do this if I didn't already have an annual pass. Feels kind of crappy to have to get ripped off like this solely because I am an existing passholder.

Can you buy a new platinum pass so you have the voucher on your account? Then if you get a preview spot activate the platinum pass. Can you you have two overlapping APs at one time?Just called Passholder Services to ask about upgrading to Platinum Pass for a shot at a preview invite. oh I misunderstood. I didn't know about google alerts. learned something new today. I'll have to set up my own google alert. thanksI am actually getting most of the alerts here from disboards but the google alerts seem to not be working great. Its not the end of the world, I’ll just have to use the refresh method for my email, this site, and fastpasses I guess. Glad i have my portable battery charger![]()
The CM said that a person can only have one active annual pass at a time. Can you buy a new platinum pass so you have the voucher on your account? Then if you get a preview spot activate the platinum pass. Can you you have two overlapping APs at one time?
Hope not...I think this would fall under the platinum certificate as well. That is what I was told.If I renew at the Platinum level, when do the benefits become effective though? Isn't my pass still just a Silver Pass until the anniversary date?
I think someone had a pass they were going to renew - but the price of renewal is more than the old AP rate. Sam's is selling the Platinum AP for the old AP rate (at least until the old ones run out). And the poster said she even was able to add it to her MDE already (although unactivated). So - you could do that, maybe?Just called Passholder Services to ask about upgrading to Platinum Pass for a shot at a preview invite. I think the problem is that the Silver will still be active during the previews and they will be entering the park on the Silver, not the Platinum voucher.I think someone had a pass they were going to renew - but the price of renewal is more than the old AP rate. That can be done without issue. The question is if this would qualify for the preview.I think someone had a pass they were going to renew - but the price of renewal is more than the old AP rate. If that is true, then it makes their unwillingness to just let me purchase a Platinum Pass effective today even crappier. Basically, I'd get end up having to pay the extra $480 for a whopping 19 extra days of Platinum Access. I'm assuming that the preview access link is going to come out this week or next.Hope not...I think this would fall under the platinum certificate as well. That is what I was told.
Couldn’t you just deactivate your silver pass and start fresh with the platinum? If that is true, then it makes their unwillingness to just let me purchase a Platinum Pass effective today even crappier.
