Annual Passholder Previews REGISTRATION LINK IN FIRST POST-EVENT FULLY BOOKED

Could I make a request/suggestion? Since this thread has blown up, could we create a new post solely for announcing when the link goes live? That way we can turn notifications on for that post and know when we get the notification that is what it's for.

Also, could some one tell me what I can do to receive notifications other than selecting to "watch" a thread? Are there settings somewhere that give you the option to have the notification to come via text, email, ect?

Is the email notification on the site even working? For some reason I thought this feature was inoperable right now (a bug)

The prior threads (for TSL and Pandora) worked just like this one is now. For notifications for the event that is. It was big and folks still saw the link

Some people are saying they are getting them, others are not. I don't want to turn it on for this thread because it doesn't do me any good to get an e-mail every 7 e-mails every 5 minutes. Might as well just keep hitting refresh while I'm at the computer. And if I'm not at the computer, I certainly can't run here on my phone every time I get a notification. That's why I think it would be good to create a new thread.

There's a watch button on the top you can set to email.

I like the thought of another thread but this is the dis and it'd juat end up like this one because people are chatty and like to speculate, nothing wrong with that but it makes stuff like this hard. I'm getting a ton of emails.

Sometimes the mods can set up a thread only they can post to. I second the suggestion of a new thread since this thread has so much discussion it's hard to wade through.

Exactly, there's no way to stop folks from talking about it on the thread. And if you lock it then you are limiting who can post when it goes live and if those who can post are busy when it goes live precious seconds can be lost, then it would be pointless.

Agreed. It’s also similar to the free dining threads. Lots and lots of small talk and friendly discussion until it drops. Then, an avalanche of “So excited I was able to book for ______ (fill in date).”

The thread still exists so you can find it with a search. There are a lot
Heck, there was an AP event earlier this year that you can find where folks heard about it here and were able to book. Or the TSL event last summer (for other ideas)

There is no reason people wouldn't respect the request to please not comment. Especially since it would be against their on self interest.

You are right, the emails did come out on Friday, Mar 24th. I went back to check my airline ticket.

Have a question regarding the AP area on WDW site. I linked vouchers to MDE last night. I have 2 active AP passes that expire Jan 2020.

When I go into the AP section, the message at the top says "Welcome XXXX Disney Platinum Pass Expires Jan 2020" with a link to view passes of family and friends (1).

When and if i get the preview email and can get in, will I be able to book for the other F&F with vouchers or does this seem like a glitch? Is there any place to "practice" with one of the offers? ( I hope that makes sense LOL)

You've been here for several years, right? You've seen the behavior of members here, right? LOL
But if you honestly believe the people would go on the honor system and not post then great. I say no way. I think there's lots of reasons they won't do it. Not good reasons mind you, LOL Just lots of them.
Guess there's nothing stopping you from making the thread in that case, since what you are suggesting is a voluntary thing. Right? Give it a shot?
