Do you still need to show the card for annual passholder discounts and if so, where do you get the card? I think we got it at guest services maybe last time? Its been a few years since we have been back.

Yes. I got mine at Disney Springs guest services. I’m sure there are other places, but I cannot say for definite where.

I don't understand why they can't just read it off the magic band or send the card.

You can also load it onto my Disney experience and show it that way.

Also a tip I learned from several CMs is to screenshot your pass on MDE that way if the app is down or having trouble loading you can still show them your pass.

Most accept it, but not all. I have been asked to show the card when I tried to show it on my phone.

Even if that's one time out of 10, it only takes a few minutes to get a new card. I got one at the International Gateway guest relations in January, when I was there for another issue anyway.

I've also heard recently that some cast members check the expiration date on the card now. They said it was because many people let passes expire but are still trying to use an old card to get a discount.

Better to have it and not need it than to be without when it is requested!
