I have a friend going to disneyworld in March and he wants to buy an annual pass.....where is the best place to buy at the moment

I may well be wrong, but I don't think there are many places that sell annual passes except Disney themselves. I doubt the price varies very much at all.

I think the PAPs are about $600 for adults and $500 for children.

:wizard:

Disney is the only 'official' suppliers of Annual Passes think the current rate for a Premium pass is $574 for adults ie age 10 and up, childrens passes are $506.

Claire ;)

Bought mine at the guest services at DTD as there was nowhere offering a discount

Mickey - I know you are not asking for yourself at the momet but you seem to spend a lot of time at OKW so I'm guessing you might be DVC members?? If so (in case you didn't know) there are fantastic discounts off Annual & Premium Annual passes for DVC members and their immediate family :)

Sorry if you knew this anyway, I thought it worth mentioning :)

Yes I know .....I have got my passes but our friends would need to live at the same address as myself for me to get the DVC discount for them
Thanks anyway

Can you advise me if Annual Pass (not Premium) allows Park Hopping?
Thanks in anticipation.

Hi Daventrish and welcome to the Dis :)

It certainly does allow park hopping :)

Do you have a trip planned??

Thanks for that info - I did look at the WDW site, but could not find the answer I wanted!
Yes - a trip planned for March and another in view for November. Looking forward to both very much, although we have been before.

No doubt I will get used to this forum in time!!

Thanks again.

Two trips planned, how lovely! Do you know where you would like to stay?

I would definitely think the Annual Pass route would be good for you with two trips, if you were going to visit the parks quite a lot during both trips.

It's useful to also be aware that Annual Passes give you small discounts on various things and also enable you to buy the Disney Dining Experience card which entitles you to 20% all full service meals, bars and a few counter services at selected resorts too :)

Please do ask if you would like any more info on this or anyone else - someone is always able to help :)

It does jtlover!

Thanks I forgot to mention that :)

This is great if you stay offsite and can save quite a sum over a two week holiday (or two two week holidays as Daventrish is having)

Onsite guests get the free parking anyway so no extra benefit for them :)

Thanks Miffy2003 and jtlover.
We are intending to stay with friends at OKW, as we have done before. The AP would seem to be the way to go as it gives more flexibility and (tongue in cheek) would work out cheaper over the two visits.
Thanks, Miffy, for the welcome.

Here's some information on obtaining an AP or PAP:
You can buy an <st1><st1>Annual</st1> <st1>Pass</st1></st1> voucher from the following places. You receive a lovely luminous green voucher that needs to be exchanged for your actual passes at an park guest relations window. Your year starts from when you activate the pass and not when you buy the voucher. You can buy DDE cards or get the AP room discounts with the voucher – no need to have the actual pass.
