Annual passes

Does undercover tourist offer discounts on Annual Passes thru the Mousesavers Newsletter? I looked but couldn't find anything.

Thanks so much?

No, but guests can purchase discounted WDW tickets and then UPGRADE them at WDW (after using those tickets for one day,) and still keep the DISCOUNT.

Hmmm! Guess i will check with AAA

Only " AAA South" sells discounted AP's (both for FL residents and non-FL residents.

No other AAA in the US offers discounted WDW AP's.

But, please read my post #3 above regarding discounted tickets and upgrades.

I thought I read where u had to pay the difference!

You're saying I could buy from undercover tourist and not pay the difference ?

What if I buy tickets discounted for conferences thru Disney? Are those upgradable to an annual pass?

For the most part you will not be able to upgrade conference tickets. depends on what kind of ticket the conference sells.

But yes you can upgrade a UT ticket AFTER it has been used. You will pay the difference less the discount.

You do pay the difference. But as long as you use it at least one time before you upgrade, you pay the difference between the gate price of the ticket you bought and the AP, rather than the difference between the discounted price you paid and the AP, which is what Robo meant about keeping the discount.

1. If you buy a regular MYW ticket from an authorized ticket discounter that has (say) an $18 savings over full a price MYW ticket, then (after you use that ticket at least one time at a theme park) you can upgrade to an AP for the difference price of a FULL PRICE ticket and keep the $18 discount.

2. Some can be upgraded. Some can't.

Got our first at AAA discounted. When we upgraded at WDW to PAP they honored a AAA discount. AAA PAP saves about $40.

DS just bought an AP at AAA in December and it was discounted. He saved about $31.00.

If it's an 'After 2:00' or 'After 4:00' convention ticket, no upgrades.
It it's an 'Multi-day MYW Convention Base Ticket', it can be upgraded.

So many people don't know about how AAA is structured.

AAA is actually operated regionally. Not all branches offer the same kind of WDW tickets and discounts.

There is a branch of AAA (the Auto Club) called "AAA South" that serves
Florida, Georgia, Middle & West Tennessee, and Puerto Rico.

If you go to their offices, they have WDW AP's (Florida Resident, and NON-Florida Resident) at a discount.

I don't think they can MAIL them, so this would work if you were driving to WDW and could make a stop along the way.

Yes, I am part of South. I can order online, but I always go to their offices to purchase tickets and have in hand. In addition to Disney, Universal etc I have bought Discovery Cove through them and they book the dates right there for me. Much better than years ago when they gave me a voucher and I had to call DC to get my day booked with the voucher.

There is an office on W Sand Lake.

Yep, and in this regard, a good strategy is to buy the discounted ticket with the biggest discount, use that ticket to enter a park at least once, and then do the upgrade.

A couple of things to note:

1) You can buy a ticket that has WPF&M on it even if you don't plan to do water parks, etc. and just want to upgrade to a regular AP (as opposed to a PAP) provided you do not use the ticket you inted to upgrade for a WPF&M entitlement (if you use the ticket for a WPF&M entitlement prior to upgrading, my understanding is that you will be forced to upgrade to a PAP).

2) Many CMs do not understand price bridging and, in that regard, may try to charge you for the difference of what the discount ticket broker paid Disney for the ticket and the cost of the AP as opposed to the current gate price of the ticket and the cost of the AP (if this happens, you will be effectively charged more than full price for the AP:crazy2:). So it's critical that you do the math and know what your upgrade cost will be before doing the upgrade. If the CM refuses to charge the proper amount, your best bet is to politely say that you've changed your mind and try somewhere else.
