How does the 2 free annual passes work, will they be put on our magic bands, where do we take them, can we add them to our bands before we go. Im a newbie with annual passes as well as magic bands, and just want to know how to go about every thing!

We received cards in the mail to exchange for the annual pass. You just show up to a park, go to the window where they sell the annual pass and show them the cards, they hand you the passes. Pretty straight forward.

My daughter received hers in the mail prior to the wedding and linked them to the Magic Bands on My Disney Experience.

Yes you can! You can enter the ticket number on the cards you receive into MDE and be able to make Fastpass reservations (it comes up as Annual Pass - Weddings). You'll still need to actually activate the ticket in WDW before you can go into the parks (as far as I'm aware) and to get your card for discounts.

Can you add on a dining plan to your stay? I know you need to book a magic your way package to be eligible to do the dining plan but I obviously won't buy the package if we'll be getting the annual passes!

They do have a dining plan package for annual passholders. However, if you're looking to save money, it's better to use your annual passholder status to purchase the Tables In Wonderland card. It saves you 20% on food and beverages (including alcohol) at any table-service restaurant, and you only have to order as much as you can eat. Or you could split a meal and save even more!

Can you wait a year to activate your annual passes? We are heading to Aulani after our wedding and want to wait until 2016 for our next Disney World trip.

Yes. The vouchers DFTW sends you never expire. Only the passes you get after you activate them expire.

Wow, WDW brides get annual passes as part of the package? I'm starting to think that DCL brides are getting the short end of the stick. :worried::worried:

Does anyone know how you go about upgrading the annual passes to 'premium' that includes water parks? Can you just pay the cost difference? (about $135)

We are from the UK so are used to having hopper/water park etc. on our tickets as standard.

Thanks!

Depends on the CM, some people have reported yes they have been able to and others that they have not as they say the value of the free pass is zero.

Yeah, upgrading straight from the vouchers is a crap shoot. The best thing to do is to exchange the vouchers for actual passes, then upgrade those passes.

Disneyland couples do not get an AP either. They also get no free room nights no matter how large of a room block they fill.
