We are in ROFR right now but hoping to book a trip in Nov/Dec and I am curious, how much are the discounted APs with DVC? We have a three year old that would also need one. Also, if we go back at the same time next year would the passes still be good?

Alternatively wondering about how splitting DDP into only a portion of our trip, or getting only one AP and TiW card would work out for us. We got free DDP when we were there this past Nov and easily used all the TS meals, but felt like we had to eat a LOT to finish the rest of the plan.

DVC Pricing:
Annual Pass (admission to all 4 WDW Theme Parks)
Adults (ages 10+) $399.00
Children (ages 3-9) $360.00

Premium Annual Pass (also includes water parks, disneyquest)
Adults (ages 10+) $504.00
Children (ages 3-9) $454.00

Above prices don't include the required 6.5% FL Sales Tax.

If you purchase the Annual Passes at WDW, they will be valid for one year from the date of purchase.

You can also pre-purchase an AP from DVC Member Services which would be valid for one year from the date you pick up the actual AP at WDW.

Thanks! If we try to go the same week next year I guess they would expire just as we go there...so not really worth it. I will have to follow some of the posts on DDP to see if that makes sense now!

You need to go a week earlier next year. I've done that many times to get the most use out of an AP.

We buy the AP and just move our trip up one week the second year. This way, we get two trips out of one pass. I then only have to buy passes every other year.

I had no idea that you could get a discount on the annual passes at Disney if you are a DVC member. This is great news! How many days does it take before you start to break even. I have been thinking that this will pay if you do a vacation every 11 months or sooner.

We purchased Annual Passes last month with the DVC dicsount. Including tax, two passes were $859 (and change). Keep in mind that renewals are less once you have the pass itself. We let our APs from last year expire in May since we didn't have another trip planned until December.

How much is it to renew the AP as a DVC? Haven't seen that info yet.

DVC Renewal Rates (renewal period is up to 60 days before and 30 days after the expiration date of your AP):
Annual Pass Renewal
Adults (ages 10+) $354.00
Children (ages 3-9) $320.00

Premium Annual Pass Renewal
Adults (ages 10+) $464.00
Children (ages 3-9) $419.00

Above prices don't include the required 6.5% FL sales tax.

A renewed AP will be valid for one year from the expiration date of the pass being renewed.

Sign up for the Disney credit card through Chase and use the 1% back on your purchases towards your AP. We do this and buy AP's about every two years...it almost pays the full cost for the three of us.

Just make sure you pay off the credit card in full each month. If you get charged interest, this model doesn't work.

Last time we renewed our AP's we received a 15-month term... we're up again in March so I'm wondering if anyone has heard of this lately?

The 15 months for renewals was a special promo that ran for 1 year. It ended 8/31/2010.

Thanks for this! It seems like this will only work for us if we go twice this year...

I was looking at the DVC website and saw that gift cards were not an option when purchasing the discounted AP, only the Disney Visa rewards or a credit card. Does anyone know if calling member services will allow use of gift cards?

Thanks in advance! We are headed home for our first DVC vacation and I feel like I am going nuts trying to take care of it all!!!

I called MS this morning, and they can be purchased over the phone with a gift card!

Called to make transaction this morning, and they can only use two forms of payment per transaction. Not what we needed, so will be purchasing at the gate.

Just talked with MS this morning to order our AP's...basic AP (not water parks) after taxes came to $446 each...does this sound right? I was expecting it to be lower, and just want to make sure the CM ordered the correct AP's for us...?:confused3

Thanks!

Yes, that is correct. There was a price increase in June.
