Hi ..we are going to Disneyland in March staying @GCH..we will be getting Ap..how long do the take to get and were do we get them? I am trying to plan our first day and wonder how much time to allocate for this..thanks a bunch!

Are you upgrading your parkhoppers? You can upgrade them on your last day and your new AP's will be effective from the 1st day of your hopper.
You can find them at the AP center in the old bank building... Enter thru the right side tunnel and the AP center is there on the right side... It only takes minutes to process, pay and take your picture. Sometimes I have seen a line, but when we upgraded we waited maybe 5 minutes to get in... Good Luck and have a great trip!

It varies to be honest. There is actually two line you have to wait in, the ticket line and the annual pass line. I dont know how the line is in the mornings but i believe they are usually longer. One suggestion is that since everyone parks in the mickey and friends lot, go to the other side ^_^.

Its best if you hit the annual pass center in the morning as in the afternoon it builds a really big line.

we have them at the GCH..we have to pick them up when we check in..We should be getting into DL after1pm... what time do they close? we were not upgrading...should we ?

Good then you won't have to stand in the ticket booth line also which can get long. Then you just walk in like the PP said to the bank on the right and wait in line to take pictures, etc. I would go first thing in the morning, so if you aren't getting there till later that first day, if the line is long when you get in, then just wait till the next morning!

Ok .thank u all very much..it will defin. help plan the first day:wizard: Is there ee with the ap? Things I forgot to ask when I booked the trip :o)

No EE's with an AP. However if you stay on property, which you are, then you get to do EE because of that so BONUS!!!

I've waited in that AP line to get pictures for 45 minutes or longer before so definitely go early in the morning.

Just wondering...

I am going in July with the family and was planning on buying the So. Cal Citypass from Costco. We're staying at the GC for 3 nights - $380 a night! If it turns out there are AP rates available in July, could I upgrade one of the citypass tix for an AP to get the lower hotel rates?

THanks!

:welcome: to the DL DIS for you newer posters!

Since you are all interested in getting APs, we'll be seeing a lot of you!! ;) We all started with "just buy one for the discounts" and now we're there monthly!!! :rotfl:

You've gotten good information from PPs, I'm sure it will be helpful. AP room discounts are few and far between, but hopefully they'll fit into your schedule. Don't expect any during summer or holidays---more off-season and mid-week.

Happy planning!
