Annual Passes with DVC

Can I buy our annual passes when we get to WDW and get our DVC discount and pay with credit card?

Yes, you just have to purchase them at a Guest Relations site rather than at your resort.

Anyone over 18 will need to show ID to purchase an AP, but children under 18 will not.

OP: regardless of whether you buy AP in advance (and get a voucher/receipt) or wait to buy until you get there, you still have to go to guest relations at one of the parks or DD to actually get the AP. The reason you might want to buy in advance is that such avoids any possible price increase by the time you go because your voucher is good without paying any later price increase.

As to the above, I do not know how the GAD vouchers work or even if you can use them toward an AP.

If I'm not mistaken, for the past several years, ticket prices increased the beginning of August. I have either bought new or renewed our passes around then to avoid the increase.

Most likely you'll be able to do it in one transaction. When you redeem the vouchers tell them you want to upgrade to an AP. A few people have reported that they were told they needed to use the GAD ticket to enter the park before they could upgrade to an AP, but most people (myself included) could just redeem and upgrade in one transaction.

We are going in six weeks time. The pound to the dollar is rubbish at the moment so am going to gamble and wait. hope the tickets don't go up in price in six weeks and hope the pound gets a bit stronger (don't think it can get much worse!)

We did this when we arrived this past Tuesday (5/25). We checked in at OKW and took the bus to MK. To the right of the ticket gates is a Will Call/Guest Relations booth. We took our GAD voucher, DVC blue member card and a picture ID (we used our driver's license). The CM knew what to do and in less than 5 minutes, DW and I had our AP's. With the GAD voucher and DVC discount, the AP will be $330.15 including tax. We also purchased a TIW card for $75 (no tax added) with the discount.
