We are going on our first trip to Universal in February. We are planning on buying season passes. The passes say that you get a 30 percent discount on rooms. Will we be able to get the discount before we go to the park and activate the tickets? We have done this with Disney passes before, but the Universal lady didn't seem to understand what I was talking about.

They say passes get you UP TO a 30 percent discount. You need to make sure that there are rooms available at that price. There aren't always annual pass discounts available. You can just show them your AP receipt at the desk, that won't be an issue. You just need to book it with the AP discount beforehand.

What we did this past Nov. was booked online using the aph code and when we got to hotel that morning they told us we could go ahead and enjoy the park and buy our aph ticket and when we return to hotel that evening just show them the aph ticket.

We just changed Universal our trip plans from April to January 29th! I booked the RPH using the APH code and got a pretty good deal. Should I just wait to buy my AP when I get there or is there an advantage to order online ahead of time? Would I even have enough time if I ordered online now? Trip is in 16 days! :yay::yay:
