I know I could post this on broader boards but I prefer the DVC community. So I took advantage of the great PAP deal last Fall. We will pick up the passes in late August. We have no vouchers - there's no clarity about what these even are....I have a confirmation # associated with the purchase and I am to present this at the park at Guest Services. So, now what will we receive when we show up? Is it a wristband? Is it something like the KTTW? Can I apply it our room keys (BLT)?
Also....some in my party will just have regular PH tickets, that CAN be applied to their KTTW - do we use different entry points at the parks? One for RFID another for those with plain PHs?:confused3

Beginning March 20th, new and renewal APs will be issued on RFID enabled cards. The current APs can not be added to your KTTW card.

Regular MYW tickets can be added to KTTW cards by the concierge desk at the resort.

Currently, there is no announced release date for the MagicBands (wristbands). Once the MagicBands do become available, they can be used as your room key, room charging (if CC on file), theme park admission (if associated, including APs), PhotoPass and FastPass+.

Is this only for full year annual passes or seasonal as well?

I sent an email to Disney Customer Satisfacation about how bad the paper ticket lines were last week. No one was at all the electronic lines, but the paper ticket lines were huge. This is what they told me:

"Between March 20th and May 19th*, Passholders who wish to convert their existing Annual Passes to an RF-enabled Pass may visit the Odyssey Center at Epcot®. Guests may visit during regular park hours each day* and will need to bring their current Annual Pass along with a photo ID to convert to the RF-enabled Pass card. *Dates and times are subject to change without notice"

We are not going to be back during that time frame, but I'm hoping they will convert them for us at Guest Services.

I believe they are using the Odyssey Center to keep current passholders out of the Guest Relations lines which reportedly have been very long at times lately.

After May 19th, you should be able to go to any Guest Relations location to convert to an RFID enabled Pass.

Starting March 20th, new and renewed APs will be issued on RFID cards.

Where is Odyssey Center at Epcot?

It's the building between Test Track and the Mexico Pavilion. Several years ago, it housed the Odyssey restaurant/food court. They have recently used it for special Food & Wine events - we once went to a Sweet Sunday there a couple of years ago.

The notices that have come out talk about giving AP owners the new RIF card. I had one CM who directed me to the people who were handchecking the paper PAP say to me "pretty soon Annual Passholders will be getting wristbands". So, by August they may be issuing the bands.

Has anyone gone to the Odyssey and traded in their old Annual Passes for the new RF version? What were the options for the characters on the new RF passes?

Well I am not going back to WDW during the exchange period and you know what, I am thrilled I am not going. I have a Premier pass and don't want to go back to two passes. Until the basically force me to change to RFID, I am keeping my one card. I love my one card and don't want to give it up.
