Hi all.

We are Mum, Dad, 9 year old son and 5 year old daughter.

We are wanting to go in October this year, again in march and then hopefully squeeze another in before October next year.

Sooooooo....... at the moment DLP are doin kids go free and 2 nights free at end of march which works out very cheap. But, as were going to be maybe going 3 times in a year I thought it may be cheaper getting AP's for us all and staying in the Kyriad or something. But my wife loves staying at Cheyenne.

My question is about adding people to bookings.

If we were to stay onsite and had AP's, could we book just one adult with the 2 kids (so kids go free and 2 nights free) in March...... and add me (dad) onto the booking when we arrive and just pay the local room tax thing ?

I've seen lots of posts before about adding someone onto booking but never got my head round it as it just seems crazy cheap way to do it ?

Any help appreciated

:cheer2:

That's exactly right! You can book the room for 1ad and the 2 free children (just make sure they're offering children under 12 free when you book as it's sometimes under 7s only in busier periods). Then when you check in you can just add the other adult to the booking and pay the room tax (under 5 euros normally).

Another thing you could check is if you could get a cheap room only deal for the Cheyenne through expedia or ebookers and then buy everyone APs.

and dont forget that at the moment you can get your ap's from Ce multivantages with the great offer of 1 kids ap (upto 12 years) for only 35 euros for each adult one bought - an absolute bargain!!

we are fans of onsite too, but I also have an AP and just book DH and DS into the room and add myself on arrival for the euro of so per nights. I got the money back that I paid for my AP in just one trip doing this - If i had booked 2 adults into the room it would have cost me an extra 170 euros and I only paid 159 for my Dream AP - not to mention the fab discounts on food and gifts:goodvibes

I would probably get the child's AP aswell. The under 12 offer is often available for March but not for October so the AP will be better value.

Brilliant !!! Thanks for replies and help so far.

So If staying onsite 1 adult always has to book and can add 1 kid on. If I buy annual pass for our 9 year old can he be added on to room as well as me for the tax rate ?

Also, I am assuming the people paying the tax rate won't get breakfast if its onsite ?

Lastly, I am also assuming that if buying room only at kyriad for example you have to book all 4 of us in room and can't do the room tax thing ?

The room tax option only works onsite I believe. Your 9 year old would also need to pay the room tax if you chose to go down the AP route with them as well.

When using this option, the people being added to the room get all of the perks of the park (excl. park tickets). So, on a standard package they get breakfast included and if you were to book into something like the Golden Forest rooms in SQL they will also be able to benefit from the character breakfast & afternoon tea etc..

Thanks Happypanda.

Just looking at the blockout dates on dlrpmagic. Wouldn't affect opur October trip but just wondering if the 2014 dates they have up until end of march............ is that because after march there are no blockouts...... or most likely they don't have the info for rest of year.

Getting excited now as maybe going back in 6 weeks after this great piece of AP news :)

there will be blockouts after March 2014, they just haven't been published on the DLRPMagic site yet.

Blackout days not applying if staying onsite is a bonus as we are definitely staying onsite in march/april.

Couple of last questions.

Do you just add the people to your room on arrival and pay the tax then or do you have to call in advance ?

Also, how long do the tickets take to arrive to the UK if purchasing through CEmuliti or promoparcs site and which one is cheapest overall and most reliable ?

Help as always, very much appreciated :)

just on arrival - there is no need to call in advance unless you have only booked 2 people total in on the package. If you have, call the hotel a couple of days ahead of check-in and tell them there will be a total of 4 people using the room (as some onsite rooms have one king bed instead of 2 doubles or one double and a set of bunks).

its usually no more than 2 weeks once you've ordered and paid for your passes through either cemultiavantages or promoparcs. They are similar prices, once you add the joining fees and postage to the UK.

I had my tickets from promo parcs within 5 days, easy, stress free transaction too!

Thanks guys - bought some dream passes via promoparcs today, 2 adult and 2 child for £380 plus all relevant fees and postage. Now to start booking for a break in early October

Wooohoooooooooooooooo

Now to get the tickets on the day. Hopefully its nice and easy :/ Also, only flights on our return leg which aren't too expensive are with Ryanair and flying from Beauvais..... that might be an adventure as have never flown their before :gulp:

I would just precise that in this configuration, you will have to pay an extra-charge "single person" for booking the room (and even if you add the other adult after with its AP, you'll have to pay)... sometimes it is not so interesting compared to the price for a room with two adults.

Tickets arrived today. Ordered on Monday and here on Saturday so very impressed with the service from promoparcs and a great deal.

6 weeks to go, cant believe we are going to be doing DLP twice in one year !! Haven't told the kids yet and have been telling them for last few weeks that we can't afford DLP again but we might go somewhere not as good.

Missus and I think we should just keep them guessing and tell them we are going to a holiday park in France to relax and see their faces when they see DLP as we arrive !!

Hi all.
Just to clarify this again please.

If I book a room for 1 adult ans 1 child.
When we arrive I can add me and my daughter on for only the room tax ?

We both have annual passes :)

Thanks, dont want to end up with egg on my face x x x

yes thats right - remember to call the hotel a few days before you check in, to tell them there will be 4 guests in the room, as all the onsite hotels have a few rooms with one king bed in, as opposed to 2 beds etc.

@Bill - there may be a small surcharge, but we have booked rooms this way many times and always the difference between 1 person and adding one, or 2 people, more then covers the cost of 1 AP :goodvibes

Asked on another thread but cant find it now.

What are all the benefits of the annual pass ?

I have Dream passes for myself, wifey and 2 kids. I see the list on DLRP magic of the benefits but was also told on here that you get a free soft drink cocktail at some restaurants (not sure if on planet Hollywood)...... don't see that listed anywhere though ?

What other "hidden" benefits are there that isn't on DLRP magic that I should know about ?
