Can you buy an annual pass anywhere in Downtown Disney or at the Orlando airport --- if so, do you get the actual pass or just a voucher that needs to be activated at the park??

You can buy Annual Passes at Disney's Earport at OIA and at Guest Relations in DTD.They will be activated passes ready for the parks.

I was told last December that the Earport store at MCO airport no longer was selling APs. Other than ordering on line they could only be purchased at a guest services window at one of the parks or at DTD. I believe that guest services in DTD is in the Team Mickey store in the Marketplace.

I just remembered that Earport is selling APs. What they no longer do is exchange AP vouchers for real AP pass.

Point of information: they never did. The Earport shop and before them the Flights of Fantasy and Magic of Disney shops are not run by Guest Relations and therefore never could do the exchange of vouchers. They are run by Disney Parks and Resorts division. OTOH, Ocala (when it was open) was run by Guest Relations and could do the exchange. Perhaps that's what you were thinking.
