I thought we could buy DVC annual passes thru the DVC web site, but I can't figure out how. Has anyone done this? If it isn't possible, how do I order a voucher for the annual pass? I thought it might save time when I get there if I have the voucher in hand.

Yes, you can buy the DVC AP online. Go to DVC member .com and click on the Member perks link, then follow links from there. Have your DVC member ID# on hand when you purchase. You will be able to print a voucher that you can turn in to any ticket sales location at WDW. You will need to show a photo ID and DVC member ID when you turn voucher in. The AP will be valid for 1 year from the date of 1st use.(not when you purchase) If you have a Disney Rewards Visa, you can use it to purchase and have more rewards points to use on your trip!

If you are looking for it simply to safe time, it will not really do that. You still need to exchange the voucher, and that takes the same amount of time as purchasing the AP whether you have a voucher or not.

I agree. Using will call will also save you the shipping charges.

You can purchase them for immediate family members living at your address (and you have to prove that for the adults); there's no number limit as far as I know.

It is limited to those in your immediate household, and I think the maximum number is 8. You will need to present a photo ID for each adult that lists the same address as the owner, along with a DVC membership card upon activation.

The main benefit of the AP voucher is that you are locking in the pricing. The vouchers never expire so you can buy them now for a trip in the future and not have to worry about Disney increasing the cost of APs before your trip date. As mentioned, you still have to exchange them for actual APs so there isn't much of a time savings.

I have read elsewhere that the "Give a Day, Get a Day" program allows the voucher's value to be deducted from the Magic Your Way or Annual Pass tickets when purchasing.

Can the "Give a Day" voucher be applied with the DVC Annual Points Voucher when purchasing an Annual Pass?

Since the AP voucher is pre-paid, I doubt Disney would give you back the cash difference.

You can apply the Give a Day to a DVC anual pass if you simply wait and purchase the pass at WDW, and not use a pre-paid AP voucher.

So you are speculating, simply visit the concierge at your DVC resort with the Give a Day voucher, flash your DVC member card, and there is a possibility of the double discount?

If the Give a Day voucher is rejected, you can still receive the dvc discount at the concierge desk.

No, you can not receive the DVC discount at the concierge desk. Hotel concierge desks do not handle APs at all. You need to go to guest services at one of the parks or downtown Disney.

Again, you can certainly use a Give a Day voucher towards a DVC discounted AP if you do not pre-purchase the AP via a voucher or will call. Just as you can apply a MYW ticket to a DVC AP, but not to an AP voucher that has already been purchased.

The problem lies in applying the Give a Day voucher to a pre-paid AP voucher or will call. Disney has historicaly not allowed discounts after the fact.

DVC AP's are considered a separate category of tickets, not a discount. Like Florida Resident tickets are a separate category. So you can apply discounts to it, like the $ off promotion they had last summer.
