Annual Pass Voucher Question

Does anyone know if I could use a MYW ticket against the cost of a DVC AP exchange certificate? We'll have some 7 day MYW tickets as part of a UK free dining offer but will already have DVC AP's at the time of our trip.

I know I could pay to have the tickets made into non expiry and then use them for DVC AP's on a future trip but if I could use them to buy the exchange vouchers it would save me the cost of paying to add non expiry option first (hope this all makes sense)

Those tickets can certainly be upgrade to an annual DVC pass. Hold on to them until you are ready to get your next DVC pass.

Not sure you can trade them in on the voucher, though, since you would have to do it at WDW and when you buy there, you get a live pass.

No you can't use them towards an Exchange Voucher. All ticket upgrades must be done in person at a WDW Ticket Window or Guest Relations location.

I would hold on to them except the UK MYW tickets (called Premium Tickets) expire 14 days after first use or in Jan 2014 (these would be tickets I'd get in 2013) so I'll have to do something with them during the summer of 2013. If I can't get an exchange voucher with them it looks like I'll have to pay to add the non expiring option

If you don't use the ticket, it generally will not expire in 2013.

An unused ticket with a specific expiration date, such as "must use by January, 2014", is more complicated. You should get the cash value paid even after January 2014, but this probably is a question you should ask Cheshire Figment on the Theme Parks board. His sticky at the top of the forum may also answer your question.

However, any ticket you use, even those with no- expiration, cannot be upgraded more than 14 days after 1st use. As a result, upgrading to NE won't help you.
