I'll be purchasing annual passes with the DVC discount for the first time. How long once purchased via the Disney site does it take to receive the vouchers? I'm Northeast. I'm planning to order around November 1st and we leave for our trip December 1st. This seems like enough time to get them back in the mail. Should I do will call?

Thanks in advance! :goodvibes

Will call. Regardless of which you choose, you still have to go to a ticket window or guest services location to get your actual AP.

Since the price increase has already occured, there is no real reason to hurry with having a voucher sent, so I'd just do the will call option. As the previous poster stated, you will need to visit Customer service to trade the voucher for a pass anyway, so might as well save yourself one step. You can even do one better than that and just not purchase the ticket until you get down there. Make sure you have IDs for each of the family members getting the passes though, to prove they reside with you.

You can also have puchase APs and have the confirmation e-mailed to you. Just bring a print out of the e-mail. You will still have to go to Will Call, but we liked having tangible evidence that we had spent the $$. Best of Luck -- Suzanne

We usually receive our vouchers within 7-10 days of ordering. That said, if your trip is that close I'd just do the will-call option or purchase them when I got there. Ordering the vouchers is not going to save you any time, since you will still need to have them activated before you can use them.

If you do not want to use the vouchers to get onto the pass holders sight, will calls may be easier. My voucher took a little over 2 weeks this summer.

This may be worthy of note: I have always bought my AP's via Disney's main web site. this year I purchased mine via the DVC link. Apparently (and this may be true even for "regular" AP's now), you MUST purchase an additional $3 option to have the vouchers mailed to you. Otherwise, you get NOTHING until you get to a window to pick them up.

I wanted to use my AP discount for MVMCP discounts and realized I didn't have vouchers to login to the AP site. I called and they informed me of the above change. They promptly took my CC number and charged me $3 (LMAO, talk about a losing proposition for Disney but anyway...) and I got my vouchers about a week later.

Just be aware you don't get them automatically like we use to. Maybe the DVC thing has always been like this. I don't know.

Thanks for the responses. I know I have to go to guest services anyway so will call was expected. I did try a test order via the DVC link and did see the $3 standard mail charge. :sad2:

When we ordered ours last year I think we ordered them about 6-8 weeks early and had them mailed to us because I also wanted to get the DDE card before we went and I needed the voucher numbers... The DDE card takes about a month to get if I remember correctly so it does take some pre-planning if you want that too.

Whoa! Hi-jack! :rotfl2:

We leave in about 5 weeks. I was going to get the DDE/TIW card when I got there. Are you telling me I have to order it in advance and it takes up to a month? Can I not get it when I get there???

Not sure if things have changed, but two years ago when we bought ours, we could print them out instantly (and they emailed them to us for safekeeping).

If you need them right away, why not print them out and save the hassle?

I thought this card had to be ordered in advance 'cuz the discount was based on having your AP's already... I honestly don't know if you can buy it onsite or how that works other than the way I did it. Maybe they will give you a temporary card if you buy it once you're there or something?:confused3 I do know that the DDE card was good for 12 months, but there was something about the way I ordered it (WHEN) that actually gave it an extra month of use. I am trying to remember....we were going in August so I ordered it in July...but it was GOOD until Sept. 'cuz I found out what the latest possible date was that I could order it and still receive it in time and yet get the extra month... I think I called the AP hotline number and then they gave me another number to call for the DDE. I ordered it on the phone. And I think this departments hours were short (like they close at 5:00 or something) 'cuz I have memories of trying to do this after work, while I was driving home or something stoopid. I suggest you call and ask. You probably CAN buy it onsite...you just don't have the final printed card or something.

You can purchase an AP and TIW Card at the same time at any guest services location. In Nov 2007 they changed the process so that the TIW (DDE) card could be purchased on site.

Both good things to know. Thanks. :goodvibes

I had the same question as WilsonFlyer and I'm happy to hear that we can just buy our annual passes and TIW card when we get down there in December.

Ours took about 2 weeks. At this point, I would just wait and pick them up when you get there. You can purchase at any park or DTD. Save the $$ shipping.
