Well I worked out that a Annual pass would be of benefit for our 19 day holiday. So I phoned up and ordered one...then after 5 days the voucher came through the post all the way from the world...we live in the UK.....

I was so excited...:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Well more than excited...:banana::banana::banana:

so I tore open the envelope and..........

NO MUSIC:confused3:confused3

I expected at least a verse from when you wish upon a star....

but no, narda...nothing:rolleyes1

And...And.....AndNo pixie dust fell out....not a flippin sparkle was to be had.

Now for some of you a annual pass could well be...well...an annual event...for me this is my very first one....which in theory will allow me into the world for 364 days....YES I realise I will only be there for 19 days...but it will be in my wallet with the RIGHT to be used.

So just like my post says I am very dissapointed with my Annual pass and on the serious side, it didnt even come with information about the benefits...which I know arent great but some info would have been great,

Angie

LOL... Sounds like you have a false advertising lawsuit possibility... Those envelope commercials are misleading...

I agree on the Benefits though... I wish they would include those in the envelope.

Awwww, I feel your pain :hug:

For the cost you would expect a fanfare or something :confused3

We got ours at WDW and we got a cardboard wallet thing - same size as the AP - which has a few pages of benefits attached, maybe if you go to a Guest Relations they will give you one. It also helps procect the card when not in use, we only got the flimsy cardboard ones, I don't know why they don't give you the plastic ones like room keys :headache:

Funny ... there's always Disney music playing in my head.

I had an AP from June 2003 to June 2006 and there was a little booklet that the pass slid into with the benefits. They must not send that through the mail but if you stop by customer service or any ticket window at the parks they should have them. Of course that was 3 years ago so they might not even print them any more because the guests demanded it to stop!

You still get the little booklet envelope thing when you get your AP. The OP just got a voucher - which is obviously why there was no music and sparklers and balloons when they opened the envelope. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2: I am sure it will happen when they get the actual AP. :lmao:;)

Personallt, it was slightly anticlimatic when I got my first AP in March. I bought it at DTD while there shopping and was thoroughly ticked when I saw it was a flimsy paper card. For the money (even with a DVC discount), I feel it should be plastic.

I was able to use the code on the back of the voucher (is it the hard plastic type?) to sign into the AP portion of the WDW site.

The second two sign-in options are for the vouchers, you should be able to find some benefits listings there, enjoy!

Yeah! I went out to dinner on my birthday and - there were no mickey balloons bursting from our table! No fireworks outside! I was not transplanted from Oregon to Florida. Needless to say, I was pretty disappointed.

I too was disappointed when I got my WDW annual pass. They handed me that flimsy paper pass. I thought maybe then I had to take it somewhere else to get my "real pass". I am used the Disneyland annual passes that are plastic and have your picture on it. Although now the DL plastic ones are a bit thinner than previous years.

Those little booklets we didn't even get this year, when we renewed our annual pass I asked for new ones(ours were worn out and flimsy) and they said they no longer gave those out instead they gave me a two sided piece of paper(the same the park hours and showtimes are on) which didn't have much info at all and they said there was more info at the passholder website.

More info on the passholder website... well that's highly amusing since the thing is such a major pain to access.

I agree it is always so difficult to sign in :mad:and when you get there it is dissapointing except for the 10% off at world of disney :thumbsup2

LOL When I see those commercials I frown and say "how come I never get an invitation like That?"

Sounds like I made the correct choice of taking the "will call" option when I collect my AP in 3 weeks time :goodvibes

Well when I exchange the voucher for the paper card, I will ask, nicely that the guest relations officer sings...when you wish upon a star as they hand it over to me.....and maybe have tinkerbell on hand with a little pixie dust!!!!
