Annual Pass room discount ?

I booked a CR tower concierge room for several nights in July. I upgraded to annual passes when we were there last week. When I booked I was told that this room would qualify for the annual pass discount but I have to call back when the rates are posted. So...#1 - am I guaranteed that this room will be discounted? I thought the discounts were only available for certain resorts and the availability was limited. #2 - Also, when and where should I look for the July rates and approximately how much will the savings be? We are currently booked at a $495 rate (which is definitely more than I usually pay!)

#1--No, it's never guaranteed that a room will be discounted. Also, it doesn't help your chances by having the room already booked at regular rack rate. Availability is limited and you never know what Disney will offer in the way of discounts.

#2--Read these boards daily! As soon as the AP rates come out, you'll see it posted here.

#3--Annual Pass discounts can be anyhwere from 25-40% off regular rack rate. It all depends on what Disney decides to offer.

True, it's not gauranteed, but it's pretty probable that a code will come out.

If you have your pass in hand, you can click the "Annual Passholder" link, enter it in and access information for only APs. codes, discounts, cools stuff to buy at the world (thats held behind the counters unless you ask for it)

I would have to second what Misti said. The more rooms that are booked prior to a code being released the less likely that there will be one. The only reason that WDW releases AP codes and stuff is to get people into there resorts. If the resorts are already full, no need for a discount.

On mousesavers.com it states that the AP rates for July 2004 came out on 5/5/04. Hopefully someone can let you know if CR was included in the discounts. Unfortunately there are no guarantees, but hopefully CR will be available.

I have only tried for ap discounts on deluxes the weeks before Easter which were March one year and April two other years. When I checked all of the hotels, it was relatively easy to get the Tower Club. They didn't have the full concierge available at the CR. But again, maybe I just didn't get it before someone else did.
