Annual pass resort room discount visibility before buying pass

Hello all, I am getting ready to book for early summer. I do not currently have an Annual Pass, but I saw they will be available again soon (out of state). I'd like to be able to see if AP discounts are available for the resort/room I'm interested in, but I don't have an AP on my account. Right now in MDE, I can see the rack rates and the broad "up to 25%" offer available to everyone. My question: Is there a way to see if an AP discounted room is available w/o actually having an AP yet? More generally, I don't understand if AP resort discounts are available all AP resort reservations, or if they only allocate a certain number of rooms that are available for AP's (similar to how they only allocate certain rooms for the general public sales). Any insight appreciated!

I'm in the same boat. DH said I could get an AP (out of state as well so looking at getting the mega-expensive incredi-pass) if I can prove to him that it's going to pay for itself (I told him it could make my stay this fall less expensive if I could get an AP discount--"up to 35% off") and would be willing to move my dates if I know I could find one.

Like general public discounts, AP discounts have limited inventory. If you do not, yet, have an AP and want to check rates, you will need to call WDTC and ask a CM for a quote or work with a TA who will call for you.

It won't pay for itself in most cases, but it will make its overall cost relatively cheaper. Remember you also get discounts on merch and dining. Plus it's convenient. Tell him it's a total picture. Since prices have gone up so much over the years, I have usually had just one person in my party with an AP in order to take advantage of discounts. I used to buy for everyone, every year.

So the WDTC will give you quotes on AP discounts for resorts even if I don’t have my AP yet?

Finally convinced him by telling him I’d save just on tickets lone id I take another trip within the year—which he knows I’ll end up doing.

I was thinking the same thing. Just getting one AP to get discounts. I think that would work for rooms, merch, dining and even tour/party tickets.

I'd probably get the annual pass either way. The " proving to him" is something we don't do so can't comment.
