Annual Pass Renewals

How does the renewal process work for PAP's. The reason I ask is I will be activating my PAP on 12/5/04 and I know it is good for 12 months from activation date. What if I don't renewal until sometime in 2006? Will this be considered a renewal or a new purchase.

There currently is a 30 day renewal "grace period" if you renew in person, and I would think that would remain true for DVC renewals as well. Renewals would be backdated to begin when your old AP expired.

Anything other than that is considered a "NEW" AP or PAP.

Years ago you could buy a renewal that did not become active until you used it, now they revert back to your anniversay date which in you case would be Dec 5. This is why renewals are not for everyone. This is one of many cutbacks in service that has happened over the years at WDW.
