I have a Florida resident 2 park power pass. I have 2 questions about renewing it. I emailed Universal but havent heard back.

1. Does anyone know if I can renew it online or if I have to go to the park. If i have to go to the park I might go one day next week.

2. I know at Disney when you renew you can upgrade or downgrade to any to any pass and pay the renewel price. I had the Pass with the water parks and disneyquest and was able to get the reg pass for just the theme parks when I renewed. Anyway does anyone know if they do this at Universal. If they do I want to get the one with no blackout dates and includes parking. I will get it if I can pay the renewel price but its not worth it if i have to pay the reg price.

I'm not sure of the answers to either of these questions but there is an annual pass phone number that would get you answers more quickly.

1. The easiest way is to renew by phone. I've done this every year and it takes only minutes.

2. I'm not sure about this one...If you wanted to upgrade to the Preferred, I think you would just pay the difference between the Power and Preferred...regular price not renewal.

Yes, you can upgrade at renewal time. It usually saves you money if you do it when you are renewing. It used to save you almost $50 if you upgrade at renewal time but I'm not sure what the price difference is right now. One problem about renewing and upgrading over the phone is the parking attendant can't see that it has been upgraded and you may be charged for parking the first time you go. But you can be reimbursed for parking at guest services if you bring your parking stub.
