Annual Pass Question

Are annual passes good for 365 days or 366 days? For example, if you buy an activated AP on Dec 9, 2004, will the last day it can be used be Dec 8, 2005 or Dec 9, 2005?

Looking at my pass here, it says it's good thru 5/4/05 and we purchased them on 5/4/04. So technically, it is one year and one day.
