Annual Pass question

I plan on going in Nov 2003.

Can I buy an AP voucher on the DC discount and activate it at a later date? I would like to buy the pass early and activate when I go in Nov. Also when would the AP expire - the date I bought it or when I turned it in??

That's exactly what I did!! We purchased an AP in January using our DC discount and received a green voucher to turn in when we go to WDW in December. The CM told me the pass would expire 1 year from the date we exchange the voucher for a ticket not when the voucher was purchased.
