Annual pass purchase

Not sure about what the actual grace period is but do know that no matter when you renew the AP expires on the original date. So it if expires on June 1st, but you waited until July 1st to renew, it would still expire the following June 1st.

Right.:thumbsup2

The grace period is 30 days.

I called MS today to ask about AP purchase, and they told me I could do it at OKW guest relations. I knew better, or at least had some idea I should be going to DTD and she said no, that the hotel could do it.

I guess I'll see when I get there. Typical.:headache:
I have never been able to buy an AP at the hotel, it has always been at GS.

I just want to make sure I am understanding this right. We are not traveling until August, but want to purchase our AP's now using our DVC discount. Is this possible? And, we do it through the DVC member website and receive a voucher to be redeemed later? Thanks in advance.

Yes...you can buy them now and activate them once you arrive at WDW. :)

I just renewed my premium annual passes yesterday online thru the DVC website. Our passes are set to expire on 6/6/07. I entered in my code from my current pass and the website took care of the rest showing my DVC discount. Fast and Easy!:cool1:

Now we are all set for our vacation on 6/9/07:banana:

I bought mine last week at the ticket booth at the front of Epcot. I have also bought at Epcot's International Gateway ticket booth. I asked when I checked in at OKW and they did not direct me to the hotel concierge desk. If they can be purchased there, the CM was not aware or this.

If you buy at DTD is that a voucher or the actual annual pass? Or can you only get the actual pass at the parks? TIA.

You get the actual pass at DTD, not a voucher. We just renewed our's there last Monday.

Just bought ours at the guest relations at MK. No wait, no worries.
:sad2:
Was surprised it was just the flimsy paper ticket. Worries me we'll keep it safe.....

Bought 4 annual passes at guest services DTD during our Christmas visit 12/06 with member ID. Received passes in about 2 mins and we were in Magic Kingdom in 15 mins. (Thats the time it took the bus bus to get to MK).

They're not as flimsy as they seem. In over 10 years of APs, we've never had one rip or otherwise wear. Deactivate....yes. Try to keep them away from cell phones and credit cards. If you keep them in the folders that are sometimes provided, that seems to do the trick.

If we do buy the APs do we also get the Extra Magic Hours by staying at the resort or do AP holders automatically get EMH too? If not, then would we just show them our key card for the EMH? It makes more sense for our amount of trips planned to go with the AP's! Thanks for your help!

EMH is for WDW resort guests including DVC. You'll need your AP for admission and resort key for EMH bracelet.

APs are great!

So it doesn't matter when you buy the AP - at the gate or online - you still get the DVC discount?

If you buy at Guest Services at the parks, you'll need some form of ID with your address on it (that matches the DVC info) and your blue member ID. Takes about 10 minutes to get the AP or PAP.

I’m curious…. were you not able to plan your vacation a week or two earlier and get an extra trip out of your current annual passes before they expire? We do this and waive the renewal discount. We purchase new annual passes at the beginning of our next trip.

I wish it was that easy for us. We tried to go earlier and could not get what we wanted. I did get my money's worth with my original passes. I received our exchange cards in the mail and all we have to do is go to the International Gateway and do the exchange.

Look out Disney.... 14 days and counting :cheer2:
