Annual Pass Price - Gate vs Online

I am planning on getting 2 Premier Annual Passes when we visit in September. I wanted to use several gift cards (like 10!) to buy them at the gate. Buying them online I think may be impossible with that many gift cards. I went online though to see what the total cost would be.

Is it really $1,000 cheaper to buy online?!?

No, the price on the web is the same as the price at the gate. I'm not sure why the website is showing something different.

For some reason the website is showing the "gate price" as double the online price. For Annual Passes the gate price and online price are exactly the same.

Can you get by with one being a preferred pass as that would cut your price back

All AP increased this spring and I thought it was a higher jump in price than years prior

Some perks for premier aren't there this year, free water bottles I thought

The initial cost is high but renewal is not that bad

If you need both to be premier and plan additional renewals, then go for it

My preferred renewal this spring was $239 but I did get the Flo rate as I live in Ga
Might have been a $25? Break for me

Initial cost for a new preferred was well over $335/ or more

Difference of preferred/ premier would be the extra 5% discount for food and merch and the one non peak night Hhn ticket and valet parking

If I'm off on the premier perks it's because I can't pull the chart up on my phone right now to check

Although, if you are planning on going to HHN this year, the premier may help with the cost of that ticket being included. You might save a few bucks by going with one preferred and one premier and buying an extra ticket at the AP rate, but adding in the After 4PM Express Pass may make it a better deal to have the premier passes.

Phew! I am glad it is wrong on the website. How odd!!! I was not about to pay that much for the "convenience" of getting it at the gate!

@macraven Good points as usual. We had the Premier Passes but let them expire in February, but loved them when we had them. We will be going to HHN on a non-peak night, so we can get the "free" tickets as well. The cost of the Premier Pass is worth it to us for the after 4pm EPs. We will be coming back probably for two other trips within the year, and I like being able to stay at a Disney property. With the Premier Passes we can stay at Disney but visit the Universal Parks in the evening and still get the EP benefit (once a ride at least!). And as snobby as it sounds, we like the "free" (plus tip) Valet option at City Walk!

I forgot about the perk of free express after 4

Yes, it does help sell the premier AP for those that don't stay on site
And the city walk pass is great too
