Annual Pass Price - DVC

We have a trip scheduled for Feb. so we probably should go ahead and renew. We usually would get another pre-Christmas trip out of our old passes, but we have a new granddaughter being born so we are staying home. We will also be passing through WDW in May and hope to get back on track with our Christmas trip next year. Normally, we would get 2 years worth of trips out of one pass but it's just not working out that way this year.

I miss the old days when we could renew and get our voucher but it wouldn't be activated til our next trip. They put a stop to that though.

So if my AP expires on 12/01/07, I actually have until the end of the year to renew? That would sure help me to have a little bit more time to come with the cash! I need to renew 2 passes.

Another Donna!
Just be aware that no matter when you renew it, the expiration date of the new pass will be 12/01/08 -- one year from the expiration date of your current AP.

And the price difference between a DVC renewal and new AP is so small that it often makes sense to just wait and purchase a new one. christainwecare, unless I'm missing something, that seems true in your case. If your next trip isn't until Feb, just get new APs then. That way they'll be good until 2/09.

You can also renew on-line on the DVC Member site. There is a link under WDW Perks

How to Purchase a Pass

Passes can be purchased online at the Walt Disney World Ticket Store or by visiting any Guest Relations location at all four Walt Disney World Theme Parks and the Downtown Disney area.

Your Disney Vacation Club Member ID Card must be provided and ALL ADULTS must present a valid driver's license or state identification card showing they reside in the same household. Renewals can be purchased 30 days prior to or 30 days after the expiration date. Limit 8 purchases per household.

  • When a Walt Disney World Annual or Premium Annual Pass is ordered through the Walt Disney World Ticket Store an exchange certificate will be sent to you via mail. The certificate can be redeemed at any Walt Disney World® Theme Park ticket window by presenting the exchange certificate, your Disney Vacation Club Member ID Card and ALL ADULTS must present a valid driver's license or state identification card showing they reside in the same household. The Pass is good for 365 days from exchange certificate redemption. Renewals will be valid for 365 days from original Pass Anniversary Date.

That was very helpful. Would you be able to provide the same information regarding AP for Disneyland? Cost and such? Also, this little booklet people talk about. Perks or something like that. Since DGC is not a DVC site yet, how would I get this little booklet for discounts in Disneland Resort? Would the cast members at the Kiosks have them or would I get it from DGC front desk?

Has anyone gotten one at DLR and be able to share what's inside?
Thanks

DVC AP discount at DL is $20. It is good on new APs only not renewals. DL has various levels of AP.....more levels than WDW. But in all cases, it's a flat $20 off.

Yes, that change effected us too. We used to renew and then not activate until our next trip, and it saved a lot that way. Now we skip the renewal and just buy a new voucher before rates increase and hold it until we travel and activate it.
