Annual pass or annual preferred pass?

Ok we live in IL and I am going to get an APH to get the resort discount for our upcoming trip in May. I noticed that there are 2 different annual passes. I don't care about the free parking or the discounts on food so can I get the cheaper annual pass and still get a discount on the resort?
That is all that I care about. thanks!

there's actually 3 levels of the annual pass now:

Power Pass
Preferred Annual Pass
Premier Annual Pass

to qualify for resort discounts, you need at least the preferred annual pass.

The upcoming AAA 2years for the price of 1 would probably be your best value of all the passes. And you can plan your next trip and not have to worry about tickets (of course if you come back to our lovely state within the next 2 years)
