Buying WDW APs for the first time…my son will turn 10 before the year is up and we will be there with the APs after he is 10. Any additional charges/things I need to know? Thanks!

No, he can continue with the ticket until it expires. The age when you first use it is what counts.

You're fine, he will remain 9 in Disney's eyes until you have to renew.

AP's are the same price for everyone over 3.

9 is the age change for dining plans but that is not tied to AP. Anyone over 3 has the same price for an annual pass.
