Hi all
Looking at 2 holidays to Disney World next year in May and September. Usually just 1 a year using the 14 day Ultimate ticket. As we are planning on 2 can we get an Annual Pass to cover both holidays as a non US resident?
I've looked at prices for Florida residents and the Silver one would cover our dates and looks half the cost of 2 Ultimate ones. I'm hoping something similar might be available for UK visitors.

Cheers
Glenn

I think there are some unknowns around APs right now. With Disneyland bringing them back, there's now an expectation that WDW will be bringing them back soon, too - perhaps even before the 50th Anniversary. But my guess around your question is that you would not be eligible to purchase APs that are specifically for Florida residents/DVC only (unless, of course, you own DVC!).

Hi
i realise I would not be able to get a Florida or DVC one , was more wondering if a non-us resident pass was available to visitors from around the world.
I’ve just been on Universal Orlando website , forgot to mention I’m after one of those as well :) , I see they have a Preferred Annual pass which allows you to select non Florida resident and purchase. Looking through the notes I can’t see any restrictions to say must be US resident , so $480 looks pretty good value for my Universal days.

I would stay tuned and keep looking over the upcoming weeks! Disneyland announced some significant changes to their assorted APs. What WDW is going to offer is still a bit of an unknown. Maybe something will be available for you. I hope they do offer what you're looking for!

the APs should be announced any time now.
We're also waiting to see what they offer.
And we're also hoping they'll bring back the UK 21 day ticket.

We’ve had both Disney & Universal annual passes. No restrictions on the Disney ones but Universal has different levels, we just did the Seasonal pass as we weren’t travelling for Christmas or Easter or other peak times and weren’t worried about discounts etc.

Silver and Gold passes were available only to Florida residents. The Gold pass is also available to DVC members who own a blue card (people who purchase 150 direct point or people who purchased resale a few years ago and has been grandfathered).
If you don't qualify for either, then you'd have to purchase an higher tier, when they go back on sale.

Buy the normal 14 day U.K. tickets and then upgrade one or more during your first visit. Unless you are hoping for an AP room discount for your first visit. In which case buy one AP and upgrade any other tickets while there. We can buy any APs, other than the specially priced Florida resident ones.

The AP price in 2019/20 was about £200 more than 2 x 14 day tickets. Now with the free parking and discounts it might work out a better offer but it would depend on what you are looking at. Free dining for example used to always need a ticket purchased so it would prevent some discounts on hotels etc. I personally wouldn't purchase more than 1 AP in your party as you only need 1 to get the discounts and will save some money. My AP was $1195 without waterparks. Also note that with AP you can only book 7 days fastpasses if staying off site whereas with a 14 day ticket you can book 14 days worth. I'm not sure whether park reservations are restricted in the same way but I would assume so.

So only 5 park reservations at a time then, that doesn't really work if youv'e got a 14 day ticket and dont want to run the risk of not getting a park pass on later days of your holiday.

if you're staying on property, you get park reservations for your entire length of stay

Has anyone found buying an annual pass for just one person can pay for itself making a hotel reservation using the annual pass holder discounts that become available ? It's something I've toyed with but never really looked in to closely enough

Yes, I ‘save’ money by using an AP. I use a US TA to apply any AP discounts as they are released. You need to be flexible as to which resort you stay at, and sometimes be prepared to do a split stay. I travel with two other adults and we enjoy alcoholic refreshments, so adding TiW to the AP definitely saved money. John Tierney over on the TP forum/blog often does break even spreadsheets. Interesting. The TiW card does sound useful as well

Cheers
