Mine got an expiration date a year and a day out from activation. We activated on December 10th last year, and it expires December 11th this year.
Yep. Normal. It’s 366 days in a normal year, 367 if a Leap Day happens during your AP year.
Sorry, but that is not "normal."
A 366-days-of-use would be: Activated on June
13, 2017 and then it would expire at the end of business on June
13, 2018.
(Using it on June
13, 2017 and anytime up through June
13, 2018 would be 366 days.)
BTW, it is unlikely that guests will be getting that kind of "pixie dust" (more likely just an
error on the part of the CM at
activation) as until a few months ago, CMs had to MANUALLY fill in the expiration/anniversary date on APs...
lots of errors on dates... really one of THE most common ticketing errors.
HOWEVER, starting just a few months ago things were changed, and now the "ticketing computer system" fills in the expiration/anniversary date on APs,
and it happens automatically when the guest uses her AP at the park gate for the first time.
No more "AP date errors" from absent-minded or careless CMs.
