I'm having trouble finding this. I know APs are good for 12 months, do they expire exactly 12 months from the activation date?

They expire at midnight on your anniversary date. For example, AP activated June 13, 2017. It expires at midnight on June 13, 2018.

Mine got an expiration date a year and a day out from activation. We activated on December 10th last year, and it expires December 11th this year.

Mine had expired about Nov 20th last year..FL AP...I waited until a couple days before the 30 day extension to renew and now it's good till Dec 18th this year...
I don't think it was because of the 13th month special from the year before that I got..so maybe pixie dust ?

Yep. Normal. It’s 366 days in a normal year, 367 if a Leap Day happens during your AP year.

Sorry, but that is not "normal."

A 366-days-of-use would be: Activated on June 13, 2017 and then it would expire at the end of business on June 13, 2018.
(Using it on June 13, 2017 and anytime up through June 13, 2018 would be 366 days.)

BTW, it is unlikely that guests will be getting that kind of "pixie dust" (more likely just an error on the part of the CM at
activation) as until a few months ago, CMs had to MANUALLY fill in the expiration/anniversary date on APs...
lots of errors on dates... really one of THE most common ticketing errors.

HOWEVER, starting just a few months ago things were changed, and now the "ticketing computer system" fills in the expiration/anniversary date on APs,
and it happens automatically when the guest uses her AP at the park gate for the first time.

No more "AP date errors" from absent-minded or careless CMs.

Mine and the wife's expired at midnight last night. We bought them, or actually upgraded 7 day MYW parkhoppers to AP's on our trip that started on June 13th of 2017. As soon as we hit the resort we went to the concigere and upgraded to AP's. We now have 30 days from yesterday to renew at the discounted price. Since we are going in September and again in December we will be renewing within the 30 day window.
