Annual pass discounts!!

I already posted this on the CB, but I wanted to be sure to let you guys know as well. The Annual Pass discounts for Feb/March are being released today! There is only one small problem....Disney's entire computer system is down!! The crash is affecting everything...including DisneyLand and Disney.com!! They don't expect it to be up before lunch. A very nice CM I was speaking to (she has nothing to do and was quite chatty ) took my name and # and said she would call me when she saw things starting to move (All the bosses are sitting around giggling and drinking coffee.... ) It takes about a half hour from the time the computers are up til they are ready to handle calls. I'll let you know if I hear anything!

I just called again and the system is still down. I questioned the CM about how they are handling the callbacks. She said they are calling back on a first come first serve basis. When you call and have an existing reservation, tell them you want the AP rate. They will automatically apply the discount for you when they call you back.

I didn't realize that early April was considered peak season. Even with the AP discount, it would still be $88 a night at the All-Star Resorts. Guess we'll be waiting until another time.

When I called, I was checking rates for July, and I asked about AP rates. She said they were only up to June. I am almost sure of it. I guess she could have misspoke, or I could have misunderstood her. Sorry!

They told me there were NO discounts for All Stars! The rate my sister has is about $95 (incs. tax). That was with that new discount code they release awhile ago. I have no clue as to what they are doing but I can guarantee you, they WILL be hearing from me!

PS I have been doing all this for my sister. She hates calling to make her disney plans. Me, I'm addicted to it....even if it's not for me!

When I phoned, we wanted to go for the first week in April and the regular price was $104 and with the AP discount, the CM said it would be $88 a night. Were you looking for a time past April 9th?

I'm with you Colleen........I LOVE planning these trips while my dh HATES it! LOL

I know the feeling I've been doing the same for my Mom. I sure hope people appreciate all the work we do--yeah I know we'd do it anyway because it is like a mini-disney fix!lol

As I sit here and type, I am hold with a supervisor. The discounted rate is NOT offered for a 3/15 check in, but IS available for a 3/16 check in! I am making a seperate reservation for the 3/16 - 3/22 at the lower rate. I still don't understand why the 15th is not available!!

This is NUTS!! The supervisor came back on the line and said that he wasn't able to split the ressie, but it going to call me (my sister ) back later today and 'adjust' the reservation upon check in to show the discount rate...follow this?!!

If all else fails, book two ressies, one for the first night (just pack a day for everyone in one bag-- since there is a very good chance you will have to move rooms) and one for the rest of the vacation.
I keep getting my Mom's rate adjusted, but I have to pay rack minus the DC discount because my check in is 4/11.I'm glad I'm saving her money, but it is hard to take that I am paying almost as much for two nights as she is for 5! I booked withthis in mind though so I wasnot counting on a discount to drop my rate.
