Annual Pass discounts on park tickets?

I have been searching on the Universal site and on here and cannot find the answer to this question. Can I purchase an Annual Pass and then use that Annual Pass to buy discounted tickets for my family? Some are FL residents (as I am) and some are not. The Universal site says one of the benefits of the AP is: Discounts on theme park & special events tickets** I follow the ** and it just says "Restrictions Apply"

I am not the best person to answer this, as I have not tried personally; however, I have heard that the discount gets you the tickets at the park at the same price as pre-ordering them online. Usually there's a mark up on gate tickets...so if you want to wait until the day of (maybe you're not sure how many/if they will come) you don't have to worry about the mark-up.

Thanks! I appreciate the answer, as I have not had anyone else answer this for me and I cannot find the answer anywhere. If nothing else, at least I have an idea now (that the discount probably isn't that much, but it can help if we don't know who is coming for sure).

Can only comment on the special event tickets

Ap holders can buy discounted tickets for hhn and other special additional ticked events

It’s not a huge savings but better than nothing especially if you are buying for more people

Think your ap will allow your purchase to 6 people

I saw where it is 15%, but you have to buy at the park, so it is offset somewhat by the higher ticket price at the gate. I would imagine one of the third party ticket brokers would yield you more savings and you wouldn't have the extra hassle.

Yes.

Not applicable for one day tickets. And Florida residents I believe have their own discount which will be better. (Except not on one day tickets I think)

It’s a percentage off the gate price. Online there’s a dollar off amount vs buying at the gate. It makes it hard to figure out, IMO. Hi bauooise ine could get to the ticketing window very early and see what the cost would be, and compare it to a quick online willcall-kiosk-pickup ticket purchase.

And remember FL residents must have a FL issued ID to get those discounts. I've noticed on HHN tickets the AP and FL resident discounts are about the same...which is pretty good.
