So we are annual pass holders and booked a cash stay in February with our annual pass discounted rates. some of my family want to come and join us but they aren’t annual pass holders And rates are very high even at Swan and Dolphin
1. Can I book a Disney room for them and have them stay?
2. Is this frowned upon to do and not right? (Don’t want to do something I shouldn’t)

Nope. You must be in the traveling party that is staying there. It's not frowned upon, it's just straight up not allowed. They can be asked to show their AP at check-in and if they can't produce it they will get re-priced to rack-rate and then they'll actually learn what a high rate is :scared:

ETA- I was assuming they were looking at a different hotel/different dates. If it’s same hotel, same dates you can book a room for them as others said below!

I just booked two rooms earlier in September. My name was on both reservations, and I had to pay the room deposit. When we arrived, my brother checked in and gave them his CC to pay for the room and incidentals, told them it was just the two of them - zero issues. I was there in case they needed me, but they didn’t. I had even called about two weeks out to add my nephew to my AoA family suite and to remove DB’s daughter from his room, and the CM asked why I had two reservations, and I explained to get the AP discount on the second room. Either it was allowed, or she wasn’t versed that it’s not allowed.

And according to PlanDisney (though I don’t completely trust them), I could have booked three rooms on my annual pass, and if I had called the AP line instead of doing it online, my name didn’t have to be on the other reservation, which would have saved some time checking in by not having to remove my name to avoid the extra person fee.

I have a friend that books 2 rooms with bounce back as well. I never need 2 rooms but it’s nice to know you can.

Am annual passholder can book up to three rooms with the discount for the same travel dates. You can call the annual passholder phone number 407-939-7277 to help set that up. The rooms would be in their names, not yours. :)

Yes, as long as they’re there during the same dates you are, you’re allowed to book up to 3 rooms for your party, just as @Wood Nymph said. This has been the case for the 25 years we’ve had APs.

We were there the same dates but staying in different hotels - AoA family suite and Pop standard room. As I said in my post, it was known I was booking two rooms under my AP, but maybe I got lucky and they allowed it.

Intriguing! Maybe you weren't an exception! Digging deeper into the offer details of the summer offer it just says the passholder has to present the AP at check-in...
