We will be at Universal next week. I had to wait until the last minute to confirm all the details because of a Doctors appointment. I just purchased 2 annual passes so I could get the 2 rooms at the RPR much cheaper. I still need to buy 6 four day tickets. Is there anyway to purchase them with the APH discount online if I don't actually have the AP yet? I still need to pick them up at the parks. If I have to wait til I am at the park the tickets are more expensive than Undercover tourist. But if I buy them at Undercover tourist they don't have time to mail them. Any help would be appriciated. TIA

Are you sure of that math? Last time I worked it through, buying at the gates with the 15% discount was cheaper than UCT. (it's complicated since first you have to figure out gate prices, etc)

Generally that's true for a one- or two-day ticket. I think UT is cheaper than the three- and four-day tickets with the AP discount.

I tried to do the math... so here goes.

$ 155.99 (buying online)
+ 20.00 (is said that you save $20 compared to gate prices)
________

$ 175.99
26.40 (less 15% AP discount)
________

$ 149.59 APH rate = $ 149.95 UT rate

APH wins by $ 0.39:rotfl2:

If you don't want to get in line to pick up the tickets at the gate, and it's too late for you to have them sent via mail, you can buy the tickets from UT and select the Orlando pick-up option. You just need to go to the UPS store at4630 S Kirkman Rd. :thumbsup2

I don't know what I was doing wrong before, but yeah, it does seem that UCT is cheaper. Weird.

kochmd1, you're forgetting to add tax (or taks, as I just tried to spell it, yikes) to the gate price.

Tank, will you have a car? They have an Orlando pickup option, but you still have to give them a little bit of time. Good luck!

Yeah, you're right... I did forget the tax:goodvibes

So UT wins:thumbsup2

thank you for all the replies. I did the math and while UT is cheaper by just a little I will arrive late Fri staying at a cheap motel and want to go early Sat to check in at RPR and head to the park. I was hoping to be able to buy the tickets in advance from Universal so I wouldn't need to wait to pick them up at UT on Sat. Since i have the AP's bought I thought I might be able to use the APH discount online but I guess not.

No...your AP has to be activated before you can use any of the AP discounts.

:thumbsup2

then buy the other park tickets at the gate to get the AP discount.
that is once the ap has been activated.

Thank you everyone for your help. I went with UT and used the mousesavers discount so I paid $149.95 per ticket for the four day hopper. I have to pick them up in Orlando at the UPS Store on Kirkland which opens at 8:30 on Sat. Which will be fine for us since we will have 3 other days to get there at Early Entry. One more week. Woo Hoo:banana:

It looks like that UPS Store is located in the Kirkman Oaks Shopping Center which is right up the street from Universal. It shouldn't take you long at all.
