Annual Pass discount on FlexPass?

I'm headed down on business in September, and might squeeze in a couple of afternoons for USF/IoA. Our family of 5 is booked off-site for Feb. 2011 for 15 days. So I'm thinking to get an AP (saves on parking) - but which, preferred of premier?

For the other 4 in Feb. I'd get the Orlando FlexPass, since we'd like to see Aquatica and SW.

Do the APs give a discount on the FlexPass, or just on Universal multi-day tickets?

TIA.

Premier will get you express after 4 pm. Not sure that will make much difference in Feb. It is probably a great pass for locals, but for people only going once a year, not so much.

I don't think AP gives a FlexPass discount.

The free Bottled water from the Premier pass COULD also come in handy with the family on their trip, Not to mention the Citywalk admission for him and the wife if they wanted an adult night of fun.

i also think the Premier includes a slightly larger discount on regular Universal admissions than the regular pass, as well as a larger food and merch discounts. With buying tickets (and probably food and souveniers) with the family, the price difference between the 2 passes could possibly be covered.

Depending upon how long you and your family are planning to hit the Universal parks, you may want to compare the 2 passes and their associated discounts to see if it's worth your $$ to pay the little extra up front for the premier vs the regular annual pass.

My math doesn't support the extra ~= $60, but I might do it anyway, for the valet parking.

The idea is to avoid thinking "gee, I paid for this day, I better go early and stay late." I always like to get my moneys' worth, but sometimes I get carried away. Even if we paid for lots of days, I'd think about the parking ($15 now?) before stopping for just an hour or two (I mean total for that day).

But if days and parking are taken care of, then we could just duck in for an hour or two on a whim, do just the rides we want and take off again.

I estimate the valet parking saves an average of 7.5 minutes of walking (each way, so 15 min per trip) which is 25% of a 1-hour stop, or 12.5% of a 2-hour stop. Or, if we went twice in 1 day that's a half hour.

And really, I'm spending over $1,200 on tickets anyway, what's another $60 even if I'm total wrong and never realize any benefits.

That's exactly what I was going to add...compare and see if you would use the extra benefits of the Premier. If so...then it's probably worth it. If not...stick with the Preferred. I've had the Preferred for seven years and have no plans to upgrade.
