Annual pass discount, how to?

Hi.. just purchased a direct DVC contract and have a couple of questions on the benefit to buy annual paas at discounted price:
a) my current AP is valid until Aug/20.. can I purchase the renewal already to prevent price increase? If so, how the dates play out? I mean would the renewal be valid until Aug 21?
b) can I purchase the AP online for my immediate family? If so, how/where do I provide proof of living at the same address? This AP will be activated at the first date of entry to a park, right

You can not renew an AP until 60 days out. Once you renew, it will be good until Aug 2021.

In terms of getting AP for others, they have to be with you to get them activated at Guest Services and have to provide proof that the address is the same as you. You can purchase vouchers online a head of time.

The pass begins as soon as you enter the park.

If it is a renewal, you'll need to call Member Services. DVC pass renewals can only be done, so far, through Member Services. New passes can be purchased online.

I had the AP for my family in yhe shopping cart yesterday.. but I decided to complete the buy on the weekend... never imagined the price increase mid week...
