Annual Pass Dicounts?

I'm wondering if the annual pass room rate disounts only apply to value season? We can no longer travel in the off season. Will we go crazy trying to plan our trip if we're waiting for discount codes? If you book a trip and then the codes come out can you apply them to your existing reservation?

Yes, they usually have codes for the value season BUT they are never guaranteed. Last Spetmber was value season and there were no AP codes offered. There is also no guarantee how good the offer will be. It will make you go slightly crazy waiting for them! It's making me crazy once again and I'm close enough to drive if I want to. I imagine it would be MUCH worse if I was waiting to book airfare too or if I had find resort discounts to fit into the dates I already had tickets for. As far as applying them to your existing reservation, yes you can however having an exisitng ressie does not guarantee you will be able to get that room on the discount if one is offered. If that resort/view is sold out, there won't be discounts available for it. They only allow a certain # of rooms for each resort/view on the discount. Once those discount spots are all taken even if you have an exisitng ressie, you can't apply the discount.

If you have your heart set on a certain resort and are willing to pay rack rate for it, then go ahead and book it. If you aren't willing to pay rack rate, consider booking something different that you ARE OK paying rack for and just be on the lookout for those codes! When they come out and you are able to get your dream resort then you can cancel your back-up.
