Annual Pass Changes???

How does the upgrade to APs work? How much do you pay? Just the exact price difference? Thanks!

I'm seeing it as $55 difference between the 3 day ticket and the new Seasonal pass on the website. What am I missing?

I see the three day ticket valued at $250 plus tax and the seasonal pass is $285 plus tax...

So... lets assume I want a Seasonal Pass now (ultimately)... what's the best value route to that?

Is it still buying a 2+1 from Undercover Tourist then price bridging? Or is there a better way now? After this Annual Pass price-hike.

I clicked on demos link I don't get any of the blackout dates. Can anybody give me the blackout dates for the seasonal end Power pass??

Wondering the same thing - my math says this: Undercover Tourist 4-Day Promo: 226.88$, 4 Day Ticket Gate Price: 259.99$. Difference: 33,11$. If you upgrade that promo ticket to a Seasonal Pass, it should cost you another 25$ (as it is 284,99$), so you paid 251,88 total for your pass.
No idea though if that is still the best option.

Noticed that parking is only 50% covered for the power pass, is that new?

Depend on your usage re APs having value. Prices for multi day tix have been creeping upwards, doesn't take much to hit the break even point

Yes; power pass used to get no parking benefit, and now they get 50% off.

Oh, we go enough to make it cheaper than multi-day tickets. It's still just a lot of money compared to what they used to charge, and what other places charge. The price of tickets and passes has increased far faster than the rate of inflation.

Thanks to this post I bought our passes yesterday. I saved $300 on the Power pass (which is what i bought) or $90 if i had waited and bought the new seasonal.

With all of this and them completely ignoring Volcano Bay for now, I am so angry that I did not purchase yesterday. I had really hoped with 4 different passes one of them would include the new park...-.-

My understanding is the 2 day with free third day park to park can be upgraded though.

Yes, that has been done by many people and is probably the most efficient way to get an AP now.

So I'm confused now, did the old passes include Volcano but now the new pass price doesn't ?

When buying a ticket through UT, you want to make sure it's UT's discount and not a promotional tickets. None of the promotional tickets can be upgraded. When universal offered buy two get one free, UT had both those Promo tickets and their regular buy two get one free for slighly more than the Universal ones. But - the Universal ones could not be upgraded. Of course, always read fine print in case they change things. But in the past, it's been clear that promo tickets are the ones you can't upgrade while other UT deals could be.

No but Volcano Bay is scheduled to open June 1, 2017. They are already selling tickets in the UK including the park that are valid from June 1, so it looks like they intend to keep that promise. So if I would buy an AP today, it will be valid for 3 whole months while Volcano Bay is open, and I have no idea if my pass would give me entry there, or a discount, or anything at all. That kind of makes it hard to plan, especially flying in from Germany. We know we will have at least one visit on the AP we want to buy with a start date this November that will take place when Volcano Bay is open. I find it weird Universal would not mention the park anywhere at all in their decription for the passes.

Maybe you should email them and ask. It is 9 months until the new water park opens. They may have a whole new slew of tickets and APs at that time.

If the water park is delayed, they don't want people paying for the privilege in an AP when the park is not opened.

Does anyone think that there will be another ticket increase soon? I have to get a couple of tickets for my nephews birthday for a trip in January.
