Hi! I purchased passes last October for me, my husband, and son at the ticket center in Disney Springs and we got our cards on the spot when we paid. My daughter just turned 3 and I am purchasing the pixie pass for her online. Will the card be mailed to us or do I need to pick it up? Thank you!

Pick one up at guest relations though keep in mind most places will want to see an app vs card for discount
Oh yes, we’ve been doing that for a little while now (showing the app for discounts). I just like to have the card in my wallet just in case. Thank you!!

And I have had opposite - 4 trips since buying AP and everyone asked for my card and ID. About half also scanned my card. Even at parking booths.

Website still says “A Passholder must present a valid Annual Pass and valid photo identification prior to purchase to receive any applicable benefits and discounts.”

So I would never go to parks without my hard copy.

We have used our annual pass this week too many times to count and the card has worked every time, no one has asked to see the app. Most table service restaurants I can just point to my AP slider on my magic band and get the discount. I have also not had to show my ID at any store or restaurant so far and we have bought things at multiple stores throughout all the parks and at multiple resorts.

We go multiple times a week and it’s so hit or miss like everything at WDW right now lol. Parking wants to see the card (unless they don’t and just want my magic band), and every 5th or so parking CM wants my ID, some stores want the app some want the card. I just like having all of my bases covered. It’s not like my 3 year old will be parking or shopping without me (haha) but I’d rather have it at the ready if there is an issue at the gate or something. You never know.

Sorry, if this is a silly question, but how do you get an AP slider for the magic band? I just ordered magic bands last week, not sure when they're going to arrive.

In the past, Disney included them when you ordered a new MagicBand for a new/renewed Annual Pass.

They used to send them with your new annual passes but they haven’t in awhile. We are still using our sliders from 2018 maybe? I don’t think we have gotten new ones since then. Even before then though it was random if we would get them or not.
