I usually go to Disney World 4-7 days a year. What benefits would I get with an annual pass besides admission. Would the extra benefits be worth the price of the annual pass.
There was a time when the room discounts could make it worth buying an AP for 4-7 days, but no longer. The start of the general public discount and general lack of availability on most discounts doesn't make the AP worthwhile for a single trip in a year unless it approaches 10 days or more. Very worthwhile for more than one trip in a year. Consider annual trips where the second year is about a week earlier than the first and do both with one pass.
Free parking, currently 20% off on certain merchandise and restaurants, those are the two big money savers for me.
That few days though I doubt the AP discounts would make it a better deal though. You'd have to compare AP price vs however many days you'll be there price, then take a look at the difference and think about if you'd take advantage of enough of discounts to make it worth it
We have had the Silver Pass for 2 years and will renew. I love saving the $20 for parking. I find that we tend to go more often since we got the passes (4 -5 trips instead of 2-3). Plus there are hotel discounts, and we got passholder preview for Pandora last May. Hoping they do that for Star Wars.....
The AP may be worth it if you can do 2 trips within 12 months. What I usually do is get an AP for a trip over Christmas, then go again the following year at Thanksgiving. I think if you have everything planned out in advance, then you can make it work. I would look at the cost of regular tickets for your two trips (if they are within 12 months of each other) and compare to the AP to get a price comparison.
