Annual Pass and the Memory Maker

I understand that I now get Memory Maker with my new Annual Pass but I am unsure how this works as there doesn't seem to be any detail on it associated with my MDE account - I have the AP associated to me.

Is there a step by step on how this works anywhere?

Once you have pictures taken at the resort, they will show up in your MDE account. You should then be able to download them for free. I have not actually downloaded mine yet though. I just got my AP during our trip last week. Under the "My Disney Experience" pulldown on the website, there's a link under Photography for Disney Photopass. The pics will show up in there. There is an equivalent link on the app.

CLARIFICATION: By pictures, I mean ride pictures, character meet & greet pics, or ones taken by Disney photographers.

Does anyone know if the memory maker that comes with the AP will function the same way that a purchased memory maker does? We are traveling to Disney with our kids and grandkids. I want to make sure that if my son uses his Magicband for a Photopass picture that it will appear in my memory maker account. We are in traveling together. The same goes for the rest of the party.

Yes.

As long as everyone's linked to your family and friends list in MDE then everyone's photos will show up in your account for download. As long as everyone's linked you don't need to be on the same ride, or even in the same park, the photos will show as long as it's all linked

Thanks to those who answered, I really appreciate that. Also I noticed that friends show these pass pictures in their facebook whilst on vacation - does anyone know how to do that!

It looks like you can share your Photopass photos to Facebook via the mobile MDE app. The PP photos will appear in your app and if you have a smartphone you will be able to see the pictures soon after they are taken. Just click on the picture that you want to post to Facebook. You will see an option to Save or Share. Then you will get the list that includes email, message, Facebook, etc. I haven't done it but I am guessing that is how it is done.

Just be aware that only the AP holder account will be able to download the photos. But you can download them as many times as you wish and do whatever you want with them after that.

And I think if you want to add borders and stuff only the borders added by the AP holders account will be downloadable. So for example if person A owns the AP but person B uses their account to edit photos, person Bs edited photos won't download when person A downloads the photos. Confusing much?!?

You are correct. Only the person who has the AP can do edits and order downloads. The other people will be able to see their photos in their MDE accounts and will be able to edit their pictures, but they will have to pay a much higher price if they want to buy prints.

We've gotten around this by giving our password to the family members so they could do their own edits and downloads.
