Annual Pass and FP at 60 days

I am planning to purchase an annual pass, but will not activate it until my arrival in July. I am staying at one of the resorts at Disney Springs which are part of the 60 day FP program. Will I be able to book at 60 days with the annual pass not yet activated? Or does that need to be activated before these could be booked. Thanks!
