I have been reading and it talks about putting in your ticket and then getting your fastpass. I opted for an ap to save on hotel, and get dde. Will I have any trouble using my ap for the fastpass?
Unless the machines are broken and it keeps your pass. This happened to us on our last visit but the CM's were able to get it out and got us passes from another machine. Normally though you shouldn't have a problem.
One of our APs decided not to work in the FP machines one trip. The CMs were very nice at the FP machines, gave us a FP for that pass, and told us to get a new AP printed out at guest services when we had the time.
Turns out that at entry, the CM at the gate had bypassed my daughter's AP without signalling the computer system. So, the FP machines thought we hadn't used that ticket for entry!

No problem at all. There is one quirk. You have to use your ticket to get in the park in order for the fast pass to work.
My wife wanted to sleep in for a bit longer and we agreed to meet at the entrance to the park. She suggested I go get our Fast Pass that way we would be more efficient. I was suprised to find that all I got on her pass was a notice like "This ticket was not used for park entrance" . I couldn't get the Fast Pass for her.
