New to the annual pass thing and sorry if this has been asked. :) If you have an annual pass you can now get the dining plan correct? If this is true can you get 2 rooms with the annual pass discount and deluxe dinning for both? Thanks in advance. :flower3:

You can get the dining plan regardless. What is unique to APers is the Disney Dining Experience card. You pay like $75 and get a certain % off each meal.

I think you can use your AP discount for as many rooms that you are paying for - but that I'm not 100% sure on. I hope someone can verify that. And yes, you can add the dining plan to the rooms.

You're welcome! I hope someone can chime in on the AP discount question. I've never booked more than one room at a time so I'm not completely sure.

Personally (and you didn't ask for my opinion, but I'll give it anyway :lmao: ), I don't think the dining plan is that great of a deal - nor is it for everyone. We love to eat out at TS places when we go, but going so often and getting so much food is overkill. Plus I would feel so guilty if we skipped a TS one night because I just wanted a snack or couldn't get an ADR somewhere. That money would be wasted and I'd be so mad. But that's just me. I'm cheap sometimes.

I think you should compare the savings of the DP and DDE. The DDE accounts for a lot of savings and I think it covers alcohol, which the DP does not. That alone is good enough for me! :rotfl:

It is my understanding that you can only book one room with the AP discount now. That hasn't always been the case, but Disney changed the AP rules a little while back.

Thanks for this info on the DDE and for your opinion both were appreciated. :thumbsup2

One room booked with your AP discount. As for the DDP vs DDE...I've used both. I now prefer the DDE. You can buy it, for $65, if you have an AP. Then, you'll get 20% discount on most table service meals, as well as at POPs food court because there is no table service there. When they took away the appetizer and the auto gratuity, the DDP became less valuable for me. I have compared costs for the last three trips....using the DDE card, for my family and the way we eat, comes out to be less money than the DDP.

Ok,,Humor me.. I haven't been to WDW since last summer...I had an AP for years...When did they start allowing APers to buy the DDP? Also, I assume this means I could still do the split stay I love and have the DDP on each half?

I'm confused, Jenny. Can't you add a dining plan to any reservation? It's just not going to be a free dining obviously.

Just recently WDTC started selling packages for AP-ers that have no mandatory ticket purchase, but the guest can book from a variety of packages (DDP, DxDDP, etc) AP-ers can even book these ticketless packages through AAA.
I heard they had enough AP-ers want this, so they created specials packages for AP-ers.
I don't know what booking and travel dates are offered though. Just call and check. :thumbsup2
