Annual Pass 120-day Rates - Actually Available?

I'm in a catch-22. Thinking of buying an Annual Pass for the discount hotel rates, but can't log on to see whether they'd be available until I buy it.

For the deluxe hotels, are the Annual Pass "Best Rates" ($70-75 off) generally available for all the hotels for all dates?? I've read somewhere that they're blacked out post-Dec 20th, but are they available say Dec. 17th-19th?

The Mickey Monitor says black out dates are 12/20 through 1/1.

A lot are not available for those dates, but I will check if I have a minute

Good news! Most are available at all levels. AKL, BC, CR, GF, Poly, and WL has courtyard available. Now, who knows how long they'll stay that way, but right now they are there! Good luck!

Using the dates 12/17-12/19, I found the following, this is for 2 nights including tax

AP rates:
WL Courtyardview 412.56 no other views available
Poly Lagoonview 735.92, Gardenview 521.84
GF Lagoonview 758.20 Gardenview 622.20

Rack rates
WL 568.68 tax included
Poly Lagoonview 892.00 Gardenview 677.92
GF Lagoonview 914.32 Gardenview 778..28

So you are looking at a savings of around 77.00 or so per night over the rack rates.
Unless you get your AP voucher right away though you may not be able to book the passholder rate, unless they come out with the codes that you can call in. Booking on the website is available for stays starting 12/9

From what I understand, if you book the Best Rate program with your AP, you are automatically changed to that lower rate whenever a lower public or AP rate appears. You could "bump down" multiple times. Not sure how they handle AP blackout dates but if there are rates less than rack on those dates I'm sure you will at least get those lower rates too.

You can also call and book under the AP rate provided the AP rate has been released and is not exhausted. This is not the Best Rate program.

There has been no AP code released past 10/4 yet. Last year, a code was released on 8/25, so there is still hope, but nothing concrete.
